They are scrapping a 747 which first flew in 1970. Watching it now, quite good. Catch the 1am repeat lah.

One time a friend call me from MAS hangar,,,

 

eh TK...want to buy an aircraft model....

oh yes...how big, what model, what airline....???

 

he answered..

 

Sempati Air A300B4...scale 1...not 1:500 okay...!!!***....he he he he..

 

saw real life in SZB long time ago...how they demolished it...sad sight!!

Yes, pitiful sight indeed. In the show they salvaged US$6.8mil worth of stuff - the 4 engines alone fetched $6mil. It's interesting to see so many 'black boxes' retrieved from the avionics compartment underneath the 1st class cabin.

Crap..... I remember watching the promo last week. Then forgot about it. Missed the 9pm one bcoz of American Idol :sorry: (my guilty pleasure). And now I'm reading this at my office. Freaking 3d..... :angry:

It's forgiveable then... I watched it too even already watched the live telecast in the morning.. :p . call me freaks! :D

Yusoff, I'm a hardcore DA fan from the audition show. It was tripple blow actually. MY Chelsea lost, then DA lost, and I miss the megastructures. :( But then again, thanks for the repeat info. Not gonna miss it this time. Set in my reminder already.

I wish I had a camera when they cut the Sempati...

 

BTW, there is a few other acft being demolished here in SZB.. 2 Airfast B737-200, 1 Pelangi F50 and 2 Pelangi Dornier. One of the Airfast B732 given to MIAT for training.
