Great stuff from LGG Cornelis, I've been hoping to get there for a while. I've heard there's a large fence around most of the airport - do you need a ladder to shoot over it?

Rgds,

18R is closer to Haarlem than Amsterdam, actually: look at Arkefly picture and see the Tower ? That's Haarlem...guess, in a straight line, it's only 6-8 kms...

Too bad you missed the ABC 747-800Freighter...

A few from me of the those 2 days when you were here, some regulars, 1 special and some crosswind landings :)

Wxr wasnt that good all weekend long, so nice to shoot from here even in the morning when "facing the sun"

Some crosswind landings, maaaaan!! The Antonov was fighting the wind sooo much! :yahoo:

From really far away I thought it was a British Aerospace with some odd landing light.. when she came closer.... hehe

I like this angle btw from ground level

IMG_005.jpg

During crosswindlandings some prefere to step on their right leg first

IMG_006.jpg

Others prefere left for their first step

Norwegian departing 24 with DC3 doing sightseetour in the area,

The Delta 763 is lining up 27, which is rarely used for takeoffs!!

Martinair 11 taking off 24, AZ and AY taking off 36L, the AY 1W Logojet is the sametime as Ian, just from another angle ;)

Is that a fly pass by 4 classic near the tower?

Correct, Waiping...they came from the Texel Airshow and consist of 1 Beech18 and 3 Fokker S11 aircraft...

Nice shots of KCH, CeeBee...they started to 'break-up' her already (engines will be trucked to LAX and flown back to AMS), as well as other parts missing already - see Facebook...very sad indeed...

A place I go spotting very often (east side of the Polderbaan 18R-36L). It's called the IJweg.

I hope it is still accessible.
