Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 Great series of action shots, CeeBee; indeed, runway changes can be really annoying at AMS... More annyoing was, I had to work this weekend (so couldn't join you)... Glad you were (also) able to nail the Windrose Embraer (incl. the 'landscape') Love the Zulu-Alpha (and Jade) a lot; reminds me of Azahan...

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 21, 2009 Last week, D-ACGB, a 'new' 747-400 arrived for Air Cargo Germany; the plane had been modified by Bedek/Israel and will now be repainted from the 'basic' CI colours into ACG: This is how she looked 20JUL09: This BBJ HB-JJA with 44 C-class seats normally operates for KLM non-stop to/from Houston; seen here resting in between flights in front of the hangars: After PH-MCG, it's now PH-MCH's turn to be retired from the Martinair operation; here seen parked last week in the maintenance area (note all the KLC Fokkers in the distance): F-GTIR, the 747-400 of Eagle Aviation Europe (EAE), has finally left the hangar and is seen here outside in nice sunny conditions: Trying to imitate Azahan here Note, only the inside engines show the 'flying eagle'...: U2 arrived at AMS 20JUL09 for a concert-tour with this wingletted 757, registered N760BB (difficult to see, as grey on beige): Hope, you enjoyed this small installment again... Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted August 23, 2009 CeeBee, Wow, so fast posting the shots !!! I do like the 'tail-shot' a lot: every tail having it's own light-mast... TeeKay, Was nice meeting you !!! Hope you've enjoyed the brotherhood of MW's AMS folks, and hope you can make it another time before the start of the Winter schedules... Mizi, KLM was one of the 1st to order 747-Combis, and in fact is the biggest operator of the type; EVA Air is also using this very same model with GE engines, if I'm correct... Azahan, Yep, weather has been real good and warm the last few days; good for spotting with lot's of sunshine and temps between 20-25 degrees with some breeze... Please, do visit this topic more than before and both Cornelis and me are regularly updating...

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 HOT NEWS Like Mischa posted already, PH-BVD in KLM Skyteam colours arrived at Schiphol, 25aug09 at around 0900 lt. Was able to take some (close-up) pictures of this beauty, together with some 'official' photographers this afternoon, hence her 'special parking' together with PH-BQH. OK, let's start the 'slide-show'; weather was abysmal, so excuse the quality (pictures are also not edited/photoshopped yet): Full side-view: Front-view: Skyteam/KLM titles: Close-up frontview of right-hand engine: Skyteam logo and tail-colours: Cone still blue: Undercarriage still clean: Nose (PH-BVD) to nose (PH-BQH): which one you prefer ? : 777-300 versus 777-200: Hope you've enjoyed KLM's 2nd 'special coloured' aircraft (which is the other one ? ) Will post a head-up when she is scheduled for KUL/CGK !!!
