I and Ewan finally got our passes after several days waiting. Millions thanks to Datuk TF, Wilfred, Joyce and many Air Asia staffs to make this event happening. Not to forget our BKI taiko Sam making the coverage also but from different point of view. Thank you taiko… Okay.. Lets start... WELCOME RECEPTION FOR 1st AIRBUS A320 AIRASIA KOTA KINABALU HUB JANUARY 20, 2008 Venue: Kota Kinabalu Low Cost Carrier Terminal 12:20 am Arrival of Media 12:40 pm Arrival of: YBhg Datuk Irene Benggon Charuruks ; General Manager of Sabah Tourism Board YM Tengku Datuk Dr Zainal Adlin; Chairman of Sabah Tourism Board 12:50 pm Arrival of AK5122 (KUL – BKI) Welcome with water canon YM Tengku Datuk Dr Zainal Adlin and YBhg Datuk Irene Benggon Charuruks to receive passengers of AK5122 with garland and culture dance troupe Photo Opportunity 13:10 pm Cake Cutting Ceremony at KK LCCT Concourse 13:15 pm Tea session: AirAsia, Guests of Honor with media 13:30 pm End We arrive at the T2 around 12pm. Manage to snap few picture like this.. hehehe.. our model of the day.... After register at the MAB counter and pickup our passes, We quickly help ourselves to the restricted side of the airport, whereby usually cameras are not allowed. But this time we can snap easily. The ground staffs also sporting . This aircraft ready for pushback. I can’t remember the destination. Our guest of honour, YM Tengku Datuk Dr Zainal Adlin (center), Joyce AK's Strong Woman(right), left err...err... i dont know.. sorry.. only YM Tengku attend today. Emm.. this guy look familiar.... Chan and me failed to get approval to enter the Flying club, and too late for us to choose other place spot as SHE ALREADY LANDED! Asian Express 5122 backtrack vacate via Bravo contact ground one-two-one-decimal-six...... Asian Express 5122. shinning... but this fellow still S.S. on the ramp. habis kerja. balik balai Bomba Lapangan Terbang. (work done. back to the Airport Fire station) em, new truck eh... rayner 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2008 (edited) Great coverage there guys I did saw Hotel Golf around 1400hrs at LCCT-KLIA(enroute for me going to the MTB to catch SKB)yesterday but didnt realise that it has the"1st Airbus in Kota Kinabalu" sticker on it. So, congrats to BKI for getting a brand new airbus for its hub. Now,when will KCH get its"1st Airbus in Kuching" aircraft?? Im sure Iggy will be the 1st person to approach the security counter to get his pass for the welcoming event.
