MAS A380 - Fleet to be Retained

Recommended Posts

................... CX flies their ageing plane to KUL, and MH flies their moooooore ageing plane! Perhaps by sending new 380 to HKG will attract more passengers to fly MH.

CX planes might be ageing, but their product is pretty consistent across the fleet.

Ageing or not, with 4 daily flights to KUL and 10 (or maybe 11) flights to PEN weekly, CX managed to sell its product much better than MH. I wonder how CX's marketing dept managed to do their job better than MH. May be CX employed 'Super-Human' ........ :search:

Stan Lee ..... you new assignment to check it out ..... :db:

:hi:

The problem with CX is frequency with wide-body. You can't get any better than that. If necessary they could have pass the route to KA if A320/321 would be sufficient.

No no no no & no ....not the horrid a320 by KA or any other airlines ....ditto fr any narrow bodies ...

My recent flights to HKG have been packed, if not overbooked, on both MH or CX. Very interesting development to see the dugong doing the morning round to HKG but wondering why they're downgrading the evening flight to 738.

Maybe because of school holiday season in Malaysia, and everyone is heading to Disneyland? The nearest is Hong Kong rite?

NRT - SHELVED

HKG - SHELVED

Maybe MH can be the airline that only fly their A380 to LHR and nowhere else.

I think CDG will go ahead as planned. I really hope they re-consider SYD when the 6th A380 arrives and when all 6 of the whales are in circulation.

I'm sure by now someone knows what equipment operated MH072/073 between 16SEP12 and now ;)

I think someone made a mistake in the GDS because they're training newbies to operate the system

Even so, shouldn't the "newbies" quality of work should be scrutinized and cross checked by the 'seniors' - to avoid precisely this sort of embarassment :unknw:

These change of decision always makes me go nuts as to whether to redeem my enrich miles to CDG to experience the A380 and end up dissappointed or go for LAX instead knowing that it will be 777-200ER. Any upgrade of aircraft is consider as a bonus then...

Yes, luggage tags were golden club, outbound BPs and menu cards were written Business Class but the inbound BPs and amenities were labelled golden club... I suppose for an airline that has 3 liveries n logos .... Such name inconsistency is rather typical .

Guest Michael

When will the plane start flying to Sydney and replace that old 747 that people complain about on Skytrax?

That's a big drop in capacity. 772 interior is also old and dated. Are PEK and NRT still on the card?

As per our esteemed MH member, the drop in capacity to SYD is because the bilateral limits it (corresponding to D7's planned almost twice daily service http://airlineroute.net/2012/11/01/d7-jul13/ ) which I questioned earlier.

As of now, the A380s are only set for LHR and CDG. Other destinations are purely speculation.

You saying the deployment of A380 was not approved by the government?
