Nik H. 3 Report post Posted May 30, 2012 VFR day today, Visibility unlimited. PR coup missed, should have done a 2,000ft flight from Batu Arang, fly above KL City, cross PJ, then a flypast over SZB before ending the flight at KLIA. Advsie the public in advance, those with the best picture of the aircraft gets one free seat during the proving flight. Rugi.

In fact , could have carried some premium regulars on the ferry flight as form of promotion and winning back customers.

Azri 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2012 (edited) http://www.nst.com.m...-landed-1.89284 "The next few days will be crucial for the A380 as it will undergo a "full dress rehearsal" with hundreds of MAS staff and crew involved in familiarisation programmes and a proving flight will take place where all aspects of the flight from passenger check-in to landing will be conducted. The plane will then head back to Toulouse for the finishing touches on June 6, with new MAS livery to be incorporated and all other technical matters to be sorted." Why can't they incorporate the new livery upon delivery? Edited May 30, 2012 by Azri

Imran K. 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2012 I think Hire is probably operating lease and lease is finance lease. The new SPV is likely to be finance lease as MH will be responsible for residual value risk. I'm inclined to believe this as well. Furthermore, once the IASB ED on Leases comes into effect around 2014, all leases will be treated as "finance leases" though the distinction will not remain. A lease is a lease, capitalized in your statements.
JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2012 only 8 windows for first class lol Hahas`~` lolx Looks more like a freighter than a passenger plane Totally agree. I believe MH is the only airline in the world to take delivery of their flagship aircraft with half-done livery....
