TK 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2007 "Taring Singa came with style.. Interesting with the Sukhois... on the 30th of their arrival, call sign was "Jengking"...so i thought it will be F-5s... then suddenly Sukhois appeared in the hazy LGK sky. But on sky display...call sign was "Bisa 02" Look at the size of the speedbrake on arrival (30th)...BEST BEST.... I do have some video shots...i dont know how to edit....never done it in my life. The sounds of their engines was superb!!

TK 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2007 Rain... Haiya, as reported by Kwek, afternoon, some "cotton" block the sun...and it seems patches of clouds may disrupt good photography. Well...Go guys, just go... Enjoy the moment. As far as my 5 days LGK...4 days pure spotting...not a rain drop from the sky. share a bit more... Another AN-32 from Indian AirForce...when i was there, they had 2 AN-32. Look how high up the engines.. NURI Before they go, we should treasure them.. I hope RMAF will place a good replacement for NURI. I would like to apologize for all the shots i had are from the EASTERN perimeter of the airport, GOOD for morning spotting and also the BEST light of the day. I have no chance to go to RAMP as i was not there during the real event. Eastern perimeter lights are good from Morning till 15:00, till such time the sun will be on top and slightly south west direction. Photo still good, you will get "TOP Lit" instead of "BACK lit"....nice on top but bottom DARK ..i'll show some examples. Norman will visit LGK TODAY....so we hope some contribution from him soon as he gets HOME.

Naim 6 Report post Posted December 7, 2007 My first bunch of pics. :-) A Red Arrow, 6/12/07 afternoon, performing in poor weather. Later, RAAF F-111. Same F-111, showing off its flame. Suryakirans, not working too much today, prepare for the night. Noses of all shapes. Not sure where these ladies are heading to, at closing time. Maybe a party in one of the jets? Suryakirans, 7/12/07 morning, begin their show. After the Suryakirans, our own RMAF MiG-29N. Dropping some flares. Fly-past. Norman 1 Report post Posted December 7, 2007 F111 looks brutal! Since Aardvark F111 is so awesome and brutal... I'll start with this particular aircraft first, I guessed. Also this was my first "close inspection" of merchandise in LIMA'07 We managed to get exclusive inspection, thanks to RAAF's Cpt Paul & RMAF's Capt "Kunte"... We here also includes HjZulHarun of DCA KLIA... Seen here inspecting one of the 28000lbs engines, Wheel by GoodYear... Anti-tank... I guess... and armoured/bunker piercing head of missile... goota chk back my notes was it radar or optical.. and this is the nozzle that "dump" the fuel and later "burn" by inginting the afterburner... and before I present you the flying part of the Aardvark... Yours truly ontop of the brutal aircraft heheheh

Same here Attan... except mine was on the 6th with similar 2-hour delay of AK6301... Good combo of fire-farting Aadvark Naim ... Actually guys... that's the 2nd round of dump&burn by F111 for the display, with gear down, and as TK said... YOU CAN FEEL THE HEAT! and SMELL THE FUMES Here're my combo for the first round of fire-farting Aadvark... BTW guys... this F111 flew all the way from Butterworth... the one that I climbed was static display only. And LIMA'07 is their last sorties before decommissioned... and 6th Sqn will get the brand new SuperHornets...
Naim 6 Report post Posted December 7, 2007 December 07, 2007 20:12 PM "Surya Kiran" Helps Strengthen Malaysia-India Relations By Syed Azwan Syed Ali LANGKAWI, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- The participation of India's prestigious "Surya Kiran" aerobatic team of the Indian Air Force at the ongoing Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (Lima) 2007 exhibition is said to reflect the good relations between Malaysia and India in the field of defence. Additional General Manager of Hindustan Aeronatics Ltd (HAL) Rajiv Kumar said the participation of nine Kiran MK II aircraft, produced by the company, at Lima since Monday proved India's commitment to make the air show a success. "It will strengthen bilateral ties between both countries. I feel very proud every time they perform the aerobatic display. The feedback is fantastic," he told Bernama at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC), here. The Surya Kiran team, led by Wing Commander Sandep Bansal, is performing for the first time at Lima. The team uses nine Kiran MK II basic jet trainers, manufactured by HAL in 1960, with seven of the aircraft flying during each session of the show, which ends tomorrow. On LIMA, Rajiv said Malaysia and India had signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) for pilot training in India and supply of ground support equipment, which included hydraulic service trolleys, for the Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF). HAL first participated in Lima in 2005. Surya Kiran Squadron Leader Raj Thakur, 34, finds it challenging to be involved in the air show at Lima since it also involved the participation of pilots from all over the world. "It is a wonderful experience to fly over Langkawi. I am honoured to be here," he said. Raj, also the team's syncro leader, is from Bhopal, India, and has 13 years of flying experience. Besides the Surya Kiran (Rays of the Sun), the Red Arrows of the British Air Force and Malaysia's RMAF also blazed the skies with their performance. -- BERNAMA Yes, indeed!
