Steve 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Nice pictures guys. The new terminal sure is coming along great, much better for the passengers I routed through on Saturday, arriving on a FK50 from MYY, then took a B734 to HKG. At T2 there was a Dassault Falcon tri-jet (not sure if it was a DA50 or DA900!). I don't suppose anyone has a photo or registration??? Cheers Steve

leejauhi 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Greetings to all. First of all, I wish to express my deep appreciation on the safety and security concern expressed by fellow Mwingers. I do fully aware of the hazards posed by moving aircraft, be it on the ground or in the air. Where personal safety is concerned, I do take calculative measures by being aware of my surroundings of what is going on around me. Let me continue with some pictures of the various aircraft movement around Kota Kinabalu Low Cost Carrier Terminal ( T2 ) The new KKIA control tower building. Close-up view of the control tower. leejauhi 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 I think it's clear now to me that these personnels in WHITE Hilux only make friends with Brightsiders!! Thats really a St.Marteen zone.. beautiful !! Ignatius These security personnel here are armed with M16s. They mind their business inside and I mind mine outside. No conflict of interest. Everyone is happy. The " St. Marteen zone " will disappear soon, leaving just fond memories. nice shots there, Lee. mind to share how you access the place you take the rotation shots from front? and some of your shots quite classic already, Amazing, shots from Obs Hill, etc... really appreciate it... Samuel If you mean those pictures with planes rotating from rwy 02, I took them from a " temporary observation hill " located along Jln Kepayan further down opposite the Airport View Hotel. There is a tree providing shade. Try to visualise the front scenery of T2 and you will be alright. However, for me, it's too far to get a good shot.
