kianhong 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Ooo.... Nice nice. Thanks Colin for sharing more photos of the Queen. The Suite Class seat look very comfortable. Hope to visit her too...
Colin Kok 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Indeed, the Suite is really fantastic. But I also strongly believe the price tag to be even more "beautiful" especially when it might be up to 25% increase in price tag from B744 ( The Old Queen thus making B744 the New Queen's Mother ) First Class. haha...with that, perhaps mostly the Super Rich can afford the Suite travel. Cheers

Andrew Hunt 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Hi All, So sorry for the late posting of photos, this is the first opp. that I have had, Since the shoot, I have been snowed under at work....and now it is Saturday morning, I have had a chance to do some processing for exclusive viewing at Mwings! The Arrival.....and everyone was watching the star of the show! Retarding on 20R....welcome to your new home! Sunset taxi....light was wrong, but an A380 still looks good from any angle! We salute you! Media....ground crew....everyone was running around trying to get pics! The launch event is nearly over.....and you've earned a good rest! Enjoy the pics guys.....! KC Sim 2 Report post Posted October 20, 2007 Wow . . . thanks Andrew for giving us the perspective from the terminal side of the A380's arrival. And there you have it, the definitive view of the watercanon salute - the first ever at Singapore Changi Airport. I hope there are more to come. Now that I am sufficiently rested . . . and had enough time to process more pictures, here's the first weekend installment (all taken on 14 October in Toulouse - the day before the handover ceremony). No need to have titles . . . this is telling enough. And here's more closeups to show off the A380's assets . . . starting with her two huge things on each side . . . . . . her not so ample wingtip . . . And throughout the day, there were basically three sets of people photographing 9V-SKA. This is the photographer contracted by Airbus to do their still photography (not that he and I could keep still for any length of time). And here's the two doing the video that finally went into the presentation used in the handover ceremony . . . just can't stop them from running into the viewfinder and so thought I might as well show them at work. And throughout the day, they pushed her . . . and come sundown, they were still pushing her . . . and from this termite's eye-view, she continued to be pushed and pulled around the ramp. From this very low perspective, she looks a little like the AN-124. . . . another view of the A380 and one final push before she is allowed some rest. And finally dusk set in . . . And the big girl is allow some rest before her big day tomorrow. And what's a visit to Toulouse without a shot of the Mother of all Big Mama . . . the one that WOWed the world when she was unveiled.
