Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 Dean, it operates a weekly charter IIRC. It used to operate from the LCCT. The Australia-Malaysia refugee deal comes into effect from midnight tonight, i guess there'll be charter flights carrying refugees from Xmas island to KUL or SZB in the coming weeks. Look out for VH- registered planes, guys! First 54 are expected to arrive on XCH on Thursday and Gillard fulfils her agreement to have them in Malaysia within 72hrs, you would expect them to arrive at the weekend - hopefully for you guys they don't charter AK or MH - all immigration flights are put up for tender. S M Tang 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Was at AT while waiting for my flight. I'm starting to like the (not so) new livery. A couple of Middle Eastern carriers. Those B737NGs will be taking over the Alpha and Bravo piers very soon. The smallest and largest bird in MH's fleet in one frame Catch of the day! Norman 1 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 Was at the Anjung Tinjau together with Capt Masahiko Sakai yesterday morning... traffic was just the normals for the morning session... we were there from just before 0800 till just before 1300.. Some shots from me of the traffic... Believe it or not.... my first proper shot of the new livery... (but I still yet to get the MH's A333.... none passes in front of us yesterday morning on taxiways G/F... only one on Hotel... ) Another one I was 'excited' to shoot ... the Trippe'F'... Others are the norms ... (Is this their latest?)
Norman 1 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 Some more shots... Guess what's wrong with this one?... hint:.. compare with her sister... a front-nose shot of a MadDog... and her side shot.... nice livery.... Frustrated when KC taxied on the far end for 14R departure.... She wear the new "Kazakhstan Independence" to celebrate their 20th Independence in Kazakh on one side... and in English on the other Check with flightradar... this one is P4-KCB Lion sent their "Heathrow"... PK-LHR... and we called it a day after this vintage 747-100 from Tehran, departed homeward, after an hour delay... (She was towed back to gate for ground-assisted start for no.4, after what seems to be APU malfunction... tq Capt M.Sakai for the info) Thanks for viewing.... Loh Wilson 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 Only difference I can notice between the two Sick Air is the red marking on the winglet and flaps. Great catch of the Iran 747-100, the engine looked so small and out of proportion with the plane.
