Compared to previous years, this year we have less number of jets during the Formula One weekend.

I don't know who owns the last two, or what team they represent.

What I didn't get is Kingfisher's A319CJ, but Kevin got it. Can you post it here as well? And if anybody can get any helicopter used for the race, as well as cargo aircraft associated with F1.

Nice shots of those Radzi :drinks: Do the drivers fly on commercial flights too? Like the one that has no PriJet. Do they own them or lease them?

Since this thread dedicated to aircraft in the Malaysian Grand Prix...

My only contribution is the chopper on standby during the testing sessions..

VJM - Vee Jay Malya. Boss of United Breweries/Kingfisher. Controls largest market share for india's alcoholic beverages. I remember when Airbus top-notch salesman John Leahy years ago went to Mumbai to get him to sign up for 380. It was shown in discovery channel. But he ended up buying this 319.

Anybody knows how much does MAB charge parking fees, if there's any for the private jets?

Considering the charge at the covered car parking lot at KLIA, I'd say a lot......

Anyway, the BMW and Red Bull are missing this year.

Yes... must be a lot for those aircraft

Since they're charging between RM50 - RM150

for parking your car around the circuit... that is

on top of the ticket you paid...

For motorbike = RM10/

& they don't even allow "aircraft spotters" to park

at the foot of the Obs Hill...

I received a call from KLIA's Emperor, who left Sepang

to watch movies instead, after been disallowed to park..

I saw quite a number of people who parked their cars near the ERL bridge and walk to the circuit...and it takes a very loooong walk to reach there.. :good: salute them

sabah air for the broadcasting and this agreement is directly between sabah air and the FOM TV (Formula One Management TV). The other two aircraft is provided by Eurocopter and its a deal between Eurocopter and organiser (sepang circuit) itself. those chopper is requirements from the FIA for safety and medical usage.

regards,

This year the F1 private jets are quite shy.

As of yesterday, there was only one.

Only from Force India.

And since I won't be on duty during daytime this weekend, that's about all that I can contribute this year. :(

They came on Malaysia Airlines Charter Flight MH 8266 operated by B744 aircraft regn 9M-MPQ. Aircraft arrived ahead of time by 25 minutes from Melbourne, monday evening.

296 pax were on board from 7 teams including Ferrari, the main Charterer. The passengers seemed extremely happy with the flight, after all, they all had a taste of Malaysian Hospitality liberally dished out by the Charter Crew.

We did not shout about it as this is the third year running these teams flew MasCharters.
