Azuddin 1 Report post Posted September 4, 2007 An A380 without the winglets make it look a lot like the concept drawing of the A3XX. Azuddin
Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2007 Sad that the performance was cancelled today due to unstable wx. However, I have taken some closeup shots during the AA2007, I will try my best to share with all of you this weekend. Gavin, I have the same view point as you, I love it without winglets. Sim, I guess no obvious different there, but may have a poorer performance for the aerodynamics.
Radzi 2 Report post Posted September 4, 2007 You guys in HKG are actually lucky, to see an A380 without the winglets. Don't ever expect to see one on a regular basis. Maybe now Airbus can have real-life data on performance of the A380 without the winglets.

Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Imagine living in those houses near the perimeters. Those houses are going to be destroyed for the 3rd Runway of CAN, as FedEx is going to set a Hub there to replace Subic's. It is needed to enlarge the capacity for that hugh express freighters traffic.

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted October 5, 2007 Excellent shots, Sneeze Definitely should visit PR of China soon: very interesting place for airline-spotting No problems with the authorities with aircraft-photography (being non-Chinese looking) ?
Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2007 Excellent shots, Sneeze Definitely should visit PR of China soon: very interesting place for airline-spotting No problems with the authorities with aircraft-photography (being non-Chinese looking) ? Thanks Uncle Pieter. I am not sure if there will have problem with you as you are a non-Chinese looking. But, the CAN friend told me that, PVG is now very strict to spotting, just because a stupid taxi driver think that foreigner was taking photos for terror attack. Crazy? So, I asked my friend that day as well.......He said:Foreigner? May be a problem, but really not sure.
