Tamizi Hj Tamby 1 Report post Posted January 20, 2007 Went to the airport this morning,together with my mom to pick my dad which will arriving at SBW from KCH on AK5920.As it was Saturday,i guess nothing interesting for today's spotting.But later I was wrong...While on-route to the parking lot,I suddenly saw Hornbill Skyways fleets at SBW! Here's the 1st set of photos.I'll post the other photos after completed uploading them. Enjoy All of these photos were taken at Gate 1 Hornbill Skyways Bell 206L-4 Long Ranger (9M-BCU).Next to her is 2 brand new Eurocopter EC-135 helicopters My dad always tell me that during his working days as Assistant Health Visitor with Sarawak Medical Department,He always went onboard the Hornbill Skyways choppers,especially this one.So,i'm dedicating this photo to my dad,Hj Tamby Sulaiman The highlight of the day...Cessna Citation X My 1st photo of Citation X The rego of the Citation X,9M-ATM.It's definately means '9M-Abdul Taib Mahmud' The Long Ranger together with her newest sister,the EC-135. Another Bell 206 Long Ranger parked quite far from her other sisters.Rego:9M-HSM So far,my guess that the Bell 430 helicopter (also 9M-ATM) is here,but maybe she's on her way to Kapit with Sarawak's CM onboard,as Kapit town was chosen as the venue for State-level Maal Hijrah celebration this year. Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted January 20, 2007 So far,my guess that the Bell 430 helicopter (also 9M-ATM) is here,but maybe she's on her way to Kapit with Sarawak's CM onboard,as Kapit town was chosen as the venue for State-level Maal Hijrah celebration this year. Charles,Try checking your internet connection.So far the photos i've uploaded were ok,and all of them can be viewed without any problem. Delwin,thanks man.I was suprised to see the brand new EC-135 helicopter,and also the Cessna Citation X being despatched to SBW.I've used to see them parked at their own hangar at KCH,while i was onboard the aircraft last year. Alright,here's the 2nd batch of photos. MH2713 (SBW-KCH-KUL) and AK5920 (KCH-SBW) After being delayed for several minutes (due to 2 passengers still haven't boarding the aircraft), Mike Quebec Oscar departure time was retimed to 0800 am.Here's the photos of Quebec Oscar during pushback and starting up. Pushback begins Pushback completed,and the engines were started up.Love the sound of CFM56-3C1 engines Then,the pushback crew begins the final check on Quebec Oscar Check completed,and the pushback truck is now leaving the taxiway My own version of nose shot.But sure can't compete with Azahan ones Mike Quebec Oscar leaving the taxiway,and heads to the runway Then,i heard the another roaring CFM engine..It's the AK5920 from Kuching! Then i began to survey the a/c used for today's KCH-SBW flight.Later,these are my words:'Eh,you again Alpha Hotel? I've just took your photo last Wednesday bah' (Check her photo on my topic, 'Highlights at Sierra Bravo Whiskey') Reversers and wing flaps still active even after touchdown Alpha Hotel heads to Gate 3 Wahh..Am I dreaming?? What a lucky shot,the best shot ever taken by me To be continued...I'll post the remaining shots of Alpha Hotel and also,my favourite aircraft all the time! Alpha Hotel still taxing to gate 3 Later she turns... And then it came to a complete stop.After the engines were shut down,AK ground crew later heads to the Alpha Hotel. The stairs were brought in.. And the rear door opens first The front door opens later.Later,Passengers of AK5920 began exiting the aircraft Then my dad waves at me Heya Dad (sorry for the blur photo) Oh my Looks like there were lots of passengers for this flight.For the KCH-SBW-KCH v.v. flight,Most of the passengers were Chinese.So,from now onI'm 'officially' rename the KCH-SBW-KCH v.v. flight as 'Chinatown Cityhopper' flight Later,i've almost forgot about the MH2713.Eh,where is she? Is she already takes off? Then,I got her on my cam! (The damn fences had spoiled this shot ) Bye-bye..wishing you a safe flight to KCH and KUL Alpha Hotel is now ready to receiving the passengers of AK5921,the 1st outgoing AK flight,here in SBW Coming upnext...You'll sure gonna love it! I think your sentence should be in past tense. The Bell 430 WAS wearing 9M-ATM registration. Note the date of that photo - 2004. 'Mengumumkan ketibaan Penerbangan Fly Asian Xpress,pesawat D72262,dari Miri' (Announcing the arrival of Fly Asian Xpress,Flight D72262,from Miri) It's the Borneo Cityhopper,just arrived from MYY! (Rego:Mike Golf Alpha) Later,she turned right to gate 3 (next to Alpha Hotel) Uuu...Look at her beautiful blades... My version of Fokker F50 nose shot Later,Golf Alpha slows down and the engines were shut down.On that time,passengers began heading to Alpha Hotel for the next flight,AK5921 to KCH. Another F50 nose shot Look at her beautiful blades.... AK and D7 dominates the early hours of SBW.The sun was shining brightly during that moment. Final batch coming up next.So,stay tuned. Tamizi Hj Tamby 1 Report post Posted January 20, 2007 Thanks,Del.Yup,you're right.Since the end of SBW-KCH Cityhopper route,Traffic at KCH is now boring.I'm also missed the moments when i've went onboard the Fokker 50 (Allow me to call the Fokkers Borneo Cityhoppers) Sam,don't worry...Here's the last batch of the photos Alpha Alpha Hotel being prepared for her next flight.Passengers began boarding aircraft on that time. D72262,arrived from MYY.Mike Golf Alpha still wearing MH livery. Welcome aboard.My guess that the a/c is fully booked. Front Entrance Door.Note the passengers boarding the aircraft. While taking this photo,suddenly a MAB pickup passed through me.. Then this thing passed through me The Petronas truck is heads to Golf Alpha for refuelling. Later,it's time to go back.Managed to get these shots inside my family's car. SBW Cargo Complex...The paint is peeling Lastly, the SBW terminal building.Completed and opened in 1994. We don get Borneo City hopper here anymore.... Basically this is the type of A/C you can find in KCH now.... Boeing 737-200 by Batavia Air Boeing 737-300 by AK Boeing 737-400 by MH Airbus 319 by Silk Air Airbus 320-100 by AK & Silk Air Airbus 330-200/300 by MH Twotter by FAX *Occasional Boeing 747-400 operationg Haj flights we need more airlines to serve KCH man so we can see more aircraft and action lol... so basically you will see a lot of jets moving around in KCH Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thanks for the compliments,Uncle Pieter.Without the Borneo Cityhopper,sure SBW is a boring place to spot for me.
