Too bad, Bulent was only to capture F-GFKJ from underneath :(

Retro colours looks so well on this aircraft (KLM will add also a retro-73H (PH-BXA) soon for their 90-year celebration next year :yahoo: )

Your welcome guys. Meanwhile, a little rumour about MH's Istanbul flights. According as I heard, Malaysia Airlines can be change destination airport from LTBA-Ataturk Int. to LTFJ-Sabiha Gokcen Airport(second Int.Airport of Ist). As you know, Malaysia Airports SDN has been win the airport managership of Sabiha Gokcen Airport begin of this year. There are some changes and constructions in LTFJ such as adding gates(bridges) theese days.

Emirates made an emergency landing due medical help for one of passangers from Dubai to Zurich at that day. The passanger moved to International Hospital (name as International ) immediatly and after a short threatment they understood about he had heart attack in flight. Passanger is as well according the news.

After passanger disembarked Emirates continue to way to Zurich.

Emirates always sends B777-200 to Istanbul.

Your welcome Seth.

Abd Ghani, you can find the best Malaysian pictures taken by Irfan Caliskan. He is one of the best spotter in Turkey and also he is member of AirTeamImages.

Istanbul have 2 international airports, becouse; actually it is long story but shortly, Ataturk Airport is the major airport of Istanbul also in the same time for Turkey's. When city grew up uncontrolled and we have "real" traffic jam day by day, goverment get a decide for built up secondary airport in "asia-anatolian" side of Istanbul. Confusing begins that point. In Turkey, half of airports owner is military and they giving permission to share with civillian in use. The rest of half airports owner is DHMI-Devlet hava meydanlari isletmesi-Goverment Airports Management. But Sabiha Gokcen Airport built by Ministry Of Defence. The airport's landowner is Ministry of Defence and if ministry doesn't use that land, it would be delivery to ministry of prosperity at that time .It means those land would be release for real estate (public improvements). In Turkey all ministries and goverment associations (include municipalities) are in hidden war, no one has intention to giving any little help to eachother and don't have any intentions to give anythings to eachother :) so classical goverment issues!

So, Sabiha Gokcen airport built up becouse they don't want to delivery that land to any other goverment's association :)

At the begin, Gokcen Airport looks like forsaken airport, they have only a few traffic in a day. 10-15 years ago Goverment aiarport Management began a privatision of airports and they made an contract of winner of LTBA's new management (TAV airport inc).According as that contract goverment gave traffic counts guranteed to TAV (LTBA airport). Thatswhy Gokcen Airports traffics has been break for a long time.

After 2002, domestic flights permissions has been released in Turkey and so many airlines rebuilt again. We have a few new airlines who are flying in domestics also some of them are built up as "low cost carriers". Gokcen Airport gave a great offers to new airlines for services fees and new airlines began to use Gokcen airports since 2002. This was break up barriers in front of Gokcen airport. When traffic counts and preferable increased, international airlines choosed them.Specially former Russian, CIS countries, Charter flights, middle easts low cost carriers and some of Cargo airlines. After that Turkish Airlines began domestic flights from Gokcen airport with public forces.

Theese days, LTBA is fully up!there is no empty slot for parking and DHMI -goverment airport management is charging serious fines for missing slots.

Begin of this year Gokcen Airport management has been changed to HEAS to Malaysia Airports SDN. Traffics counts increasing day by day. Pegasus,Sunexpress,Turkish Airlines are daily domestic and international users.

I feel dizzy looking at the shot of TK's A340 rotating!!! Absolutely beautiful composition.

Thanks for showing us what aviation spotting and photography is like in Turkey. It adds yet another dimension to Malaysiawings. Thanks Ilgaz and other Turkish spotters for this.

Makes you just want to pack your camera and head straight for Istanbul. I look forward to the new logo being painted on the A330s and A340s that come to Singapore.
