fablee 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2008 Hi Fablee, thanks for the update on Viewing Mall Retrofitting. Do post some photos from time to time when you are around VM. Sad to see that VM is going to be plane spotters unfriendly. Chaity, you're most welcome. Will post more WSSS photos once they are processed. Spotting can still be done from transit area of Changi when you should next use SIN. Cheers Fablee

LeeCH 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2008 Oh my bad, sorry sorry. Credits to you Terrence. My bad mistake. Must be too hard at work. Too many turn arounds and lack of rest. Tiredness setting in. Err, D3 is indeed very short lah. Not very good for spotting actually. And too busy flying everyday and most of the time lousy weather and busy with house reno. Filipe Rafael Henriques 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 Today's weather is not the kind that makes you want to go out and shoot . . . but the promise of an A310-300 from White Airlines (hopefully still wearing the Air Niugini titles) was an irresistible draw. So with Ian Moy from Perth, we braved the waves of drizzle and finally saw it. It arrived from Port Moresby and is apparently going off-duty after being replaced by B767-300ER P2-ANA. It left again after a transit of 1hr 20mins. KC Sim Beautiful Portuguese airplane! I saw it yesterday in Lisbon!

KC Sim 2 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 (edited) Sorry have been busy and did not upload much for all of June 2008. So just like an upset stomach, here goes . . . beginning with the home-based birds. All these pictures were taken on 2 June 2008. One of two B747-200Fs operated by Jett8 Airlines Cargo . . . this has since taken on the name of "Taipan". The morning sun has cast a very interesting shadow of the Jumbo on the ramp. The A345 fleet was given a makeover, both inside (where it went from a 184-seater to a 100-seater all-biz configuration) and outside (with the new titles and bigger bird). It is seen here departing to Newark. Never get tired of this big girl, seen here landing after arriving from London . . . still sporting the odd livery. Once the workhorse, the B747-400 now only plies a small handful of destination . . . but it still is a pretty bird, especially when accompanied by lovely clouds. When the sun gets too high, one has little choice but to zoom in for some interesting angles . . . such as this view of the B777-300ER. Those two huge engines never fail to get my attention. A staring incident with the cockpit crew of the B777-300 in Star Alliance livery . . . how come every plane looks great from this angle? Nose shot of a B777-200. China Southern's Airbus A321 are a daily sighting. Always sunny and looking great is the A300-600F of Air Hong Kong. This one is for Jonathan Ah Kong . . . a Comet for you. The A330-200 of Air Comet was moved out of the SIA Engineering hangar to make way for the movement of another aircraft . . . minutes after this picture was taken, back it went to the hangar. It was a brilliant day, except for an hour and a half when the weather caved in . . . seen here threatening a B747F of Evergreen International Airways. United Airlines' B777-200ER, still sporting the old livery is seen here departing on an early morning flight to NRT. Indians generally have lovely noses . . . and this one is no different. The A330-200 of Air India is an absolute joy to watch . . . especially in brilliant sunshine. Not to be outdone is a similar machine in the colours of Jet Airways. Closeup study of a Qantas B747-400 . . . delayed from the previous evening. Lion Airlines B737-900ERs are an increasingly regular feature of spotting in Singapore . . . there are two painted in Boeing's house colours.
