Chaity 1 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 There was indeed a Mini Malaysian Wings gathering. At least 10 members here (including the photographer). And multiple nationalities too - Thais, Malaysians, Dutch and Singaporeans. (the other guy is German). This was on Saturday afternoon, the first public day of the airshow. Chaity, Yong and Wilson had already left for the airport by the time we got to the Changi Business Park, otherwise there would have been more. Not bad, a mini gathering in SIN. Yong and myself just missed you guys on that day. We left for Terminal 1 at 1500 when the airspace was closed for the 2nd session of aerial display. Wilson wasn't with us as he ventured out to Sincity alone for an adventure. I enjoyed spotting in SIN than the airshow this time.
flee 5 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 I enjoyed spotting in SIN than the airshow this time. Yes, this year, the airshow has lost its lustre! BTW, do you know where that SQ A345 was heading? Looks like SQ is slowly restoring its A345 all-biz class services...
kianhong 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) Thanks Kwek for the group photo! Nice! I looked very tan from the sun burnt. BTW, do you know where that SQ A345 was heading? Looks like SQ is slowly restoring its A345 all-biz class services... That would be SQ38 to LAX at 1615 ETD. As for now, only SQ22 to EWR is daily and SQ38 to LAX still 5x weekly. Charles Ryan 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 Saturday 06 February 2010 PLM747P MAD-SIN EC-KXN Nice catch, Bob ! I saw this at the Cargo hanger while on the way to the airshow. Now, this solve the mystery !
flee 5 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 That would be SQ38 to LAX at 1615 ETD. As for now, only SQ22 to EWR is daily and SQ38 to LAX still 5x weekly. Thanks! It was unfortunate that the recession spoilt this unique service. The A345 is such a nice aircraft and its quiet cabin is most suitable for the kind of premium service that SQ has envisaged. Great stuff from all you guys who were at SIN!

kianhong 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2010 After the long CNY break ... First time spotting in the year of roaring tiger! It was runway 20R from 1500 onwards till 1820. Clare Valley VH-EBN (c/n 1094) as QF6020 from TLS on delivery back to SYD. Bangkok Airways baby bus (HS-PGT) from Koh Samui. I suspect that this is an extra flght. GLEX VP-BJI from Jakarta Halim. The logo look the same as one found on a Gulfstream G550 (VH-BIP). Look out for Tiger's new A320 9V-TAN too which was delivered on 20-02-2010. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
