Hoe Jyh 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 A delay from its usual 2+pm arrival to 4pm yielded this totally unexpected special today KC, Xu Yong and me were totally over the moon with this rather elusive Taiwanese special. Meanwhile this usual Xiamen B737-700 decided to adopt a 'Russian'-style look with a white radome

Waiping 12 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 Hi guys, I will be in Singapore on the 19 and leaving for KL the next day on Jetstar. Anyone can provide a rough guide as to where would be nice to do some spotting at Changi airport terminal. I'm traveling alone so may not be able to venture far, unless anyone wants to join. KC Sim 2 Report post Posted October 15, 2008 Beautiful shots from T3 Waiping . . . especially the wide-angle view of the A340-500 of SIA on pushback. Here are some shots taken in the last few days . . . during this time, we have to contend with shifting winds and changing runway directions. And then there is also the very fickle weather but thankfully in between, we did have some blue sky days. Here's an A330-200 of Qatar Airways in their current livery. Not easy to pre-empt the take-off point for Lufthansa's A340-300 heading out for a non-stop flight to Munich. This was my only shot as it failed to clear the fence when it came right in front of me. Cathay Pacific's new B777-300ERs are appearing in SIN more regularly and seen here is B-KPB. Since the folks for the F1 Grand Prix left, biz-jet traffic has slowed to the usual trickle of just a few each day. VP-BIP is seen here landing. AirAsia and her sisters have provided us with lots to look forward to . . . seen here are two of these - B737-300 of Thai AirAsia with the "amazing Thailand" livery and AirAsia's A320 9M-AFW with the F1 livery. Our own home-based special is now confined to the Star Alliance aircraft . . . still a nice subject to photograph when the light is good. On 13 October, the Crown Prince of Bahrain arrived in Singapore from Tokyo-Haneda in this lovely B747SP registered A9C-HAK. HRH is here on a 3-day official visit - his second in two years. May he visit us more often . . . KC Sim
