KC Sim 2 Report post Posted May 31, 2007 Today is Vesak Day in Singapore . . . and besides the beautiful sunshine at the crack of dawn, enlightenment came in a different form. Singapore's newest airline - Jett8 Cargo Airlines finally received its first aircraft, a Boeing 747-200F (9V-JEA) delivered from Xiamen. It was acquired from Nippon Cargo Airlines. Earlier in the morning, we had the opportunity to welcome yet another B727-200F . . . a rather familiar looking plane (for our friends from KUL) registered PK-TMA. It seems to replace the B727-200F operated previously by Tri M.G. (Can anyone confirm this?). KC Sim

Hoe Jyh 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2007 (edited) Nice! Thankfully the sun broke through the dense storm clouds when she arrived Raj, here's a link to Jett8's website. For now, they are flying to Dubai, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Luxembourg and Manchester. http://www.jett8airlines.com/ As for me, what made Vesak Day special this year was an end to an attempt to photograph the Eva Air A332 in almost 2 years in good light. KC Sim 2 Report post Posted June 1, 2007 TK : If you could nail the identity of the Megantara Air B727-200F, it would be most helpful. Pieter : Hopefully by the time you are in Asia, you could catch it either in SIN or in CGK. The B747-200SF of Jett8 Airlines Cargo (9V-JEA) went out on a test flight this morning (1 Jun) at around 1000hrs. KC Sim

Kwek 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) Spotting with Pieter....missed the SQ 77W from Frankfurt - landed on the other runway...bah. Then the red belly made up for the earlier miss.. Weather played havoc with the winds, and with that a premature end to the spotting day due to runway change to 02. Tomorrow can only be better...... Kwek 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2007 More from the fantastic afternoon.... Pieter says hi to Hakan and Levent... And hello to Sneeze Wow, on seeing Yokoso back to back days, but this time in superb light Pieter laments: "You know, I have to travel 12 hours to Singapore to see these British birds, we don't get them at Schipol, only the A319s". And he was rewarded with a BA 777 with "Official Airline - England Football Team" sticker
