KC Sim 2 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 (edited) Sini KLM Triple Seven at Changi . . . Pieter. Edwin and Yong were quite lucky . . . got some sun also SIA A345, Mandarin AL A340-300 and Air Bridge Cargo B742F on final approach. Pieter : I will actually be in the Netherlands in early June (arr on 2 Jun and dep on 12 Jun on SQ) and will be staying with a friend in Zwolle. KC Sim 2 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 Here are some recent Changi highlights . . . GoAir of India sent their easyJet look-alike orange Airbus A320 on 22 April for maintenance by SIA Engineering Company. Air India Express sent their B737-800 with an Indian classical dancer on the tail . . . you just have to love this airline for making each trip to the airport worth its while. A surprise visitor was this B737-8GPER of Lion Air on its delivery flight from Boeing Field and Guam. It rested overnight in SIN and departed to CGK the next morning at 0800hrs A fairly regular visitor is this B747-400 owned by the Brunei royal family . . . seen here landing on 29 April on a Subang-Singapore flight. It left for London-Heathrow the same evening. Every Sunday morning, Cargolux operates two flights into Changi . . . and without fail, one of these is operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic's beautiful B744F TF-AMO. For TriJet fans, Biman Bangladesh Airlines is our new favourite airline . . . just for bringing the DC-10-30. For three of these (S2-ACO, S2-ACP and S2-ACQ), each visit is like a home-coming as they were former SIA birds. Air Bridge Cargo's B747-200F VP-BII (former NCA machine) went on a test flight lasting more than 3 hours o 6 May . . . This morning, there wasn't anything special . . . except for the clear sky, a moon and good company. SilkAir's Airbus A320 is seen here flying past the setting moon. Hope you enjoy some of our visitors . . . KC Sim

Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 Kwek, KC, I would like to hask for suggestion that where I can spot during my transit in SIN on my way to KUL and back HKG? Thanks
Kwek 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 Sneeze, Oh yes there are some good spotting locations inside the transit area at Changi. If you are transiting in the morning, go to the Cactus Garden. It's at the left side of Terminal 1. You should have a good view of movements. On the way there, the former McDonalds area offers a commanding view of the Central Apron. The glass in the transit facing north into the central apron has a very dark tint, so for this part the public area is better. Hope that your aircraft's assigned gate is on the western side of the airfield.....with that you will be able to take photos of the movements on Runway 20R/02L. If you transit is in the afternoon, it is more interesting. Go either to the Sunflower roottop for a good view. You should be able to take some nice pictures of aircraft on climbout. The T2 apron transit, which has lots of little eateries, offer a great viewing area of aircraft movement and the glass is very lightly tinted. Lots of SQ and MAS traffic there and runway action too. You can move between the terminals either by foot or the Skytrain. Hope that helps. Kwek Kwek, KC, I would like to hask for suggestion that where I can spot during my transit in SIN on my way to KUL and back HKG? Thanks Was someone looking for a KLM triple...... Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 (edited) Sneeze, ............. You can move between the terminals either by foot or the Skytrain. Hope that helps. Kwek Thanks Kwek, I think this help me much, hope that I know the way to go to the places you have mentioned. and I think I would only able to have time for spotting only when I am on my way back HKG. Since the transit time from SQ001 to SQ108 is really short. Edited May 7, 2007 by Sneeze Lam
