Tony 1 Report post Posted October 26, 2006 From Sydney...Bad weather as well... Orange was meant to due in at 1635, but arrived at 1605. Security was very very tight. Saw a police on pushbike patrolling the apron, so it took me a while before getting close to the fence. A few Australian Protective Service vehicles were also patrolling the access road on the outside of the apron! The Convoy welcoming arrival of PH-KBX Vacated runway 07 onto the GA apron Parking.... Parked. Engines off. Deploy stairs. Then came a serious yell from the pushbike cop: "Hey! Federal Police! Off you go, NOW!" And my pissed-off-at-his-attitude mind screamed: "Yo! Uni student! Can't you see I'm leaving? Dammit!!" For God's sake, I'm holding a CAMERA! Not a bloody GUN! And I don't look insane nor do I look like an assassinator! BAhh~~
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted October 26, 2006 Tony, Excellent pictures of the 'Orange' arrival in SYD; seems the Aussie security is more nervous than the usual Dutch one Hope it won't be as bad in the 'next port of call' Thanks for sharing...doesn't she look cute ? Yup certainly is cute. Aussie security usually is very strict - not a good idea to beg for more shots when you're asked to leave. Good thing they didn't handcuff and interrogate me for that...
