Yukihiro 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2006 Hi guys, I am back from 2 weeks hardcore European spotting trip. Russian planes rock my heart at anywhere Sharing some pics with you. First step day1:20JUL to MOCKBA(Moscow).... which airline did I choose? Hehehe of course flew "Gaan Bin Thai and Star Alliance" from Krung Thep... Anyone phuut Thai nit naawy here? Here is some A340-600 cabin shots. I had good sleep onboard Royal Silk Class 8hrs 50mins flight to Domodedovo. Perhaps this route will be replace to 772ER soon Very strange route for TG who are flying BKK-DME? poor load 15PAX in C. Similar to TK's Malaysian777 which one is better to sleep? hehehe:P Powerful boy Trent500 looks better than GE90. "Smooth as silk" even if economy it is better than Emperor JK's Lufthansa 346. Meal spotting... 1st serving...Thai style hot snack fish cake. appetizer marinated salmon and green salad main course prawns with chinese red sauce+fried rice TG main course for C is soso... there is no difference with Y cannot compare with SQ or MH fresh fruits :$ Thai sweet + tea (chaa raawn) then zzz zzz zzz 2nd serving is coming 90mins before touch down. salad with scallops Thai style baked chicken with rice fruit tart after arriving Domodedovo...managed to do some spotting from my room. what a cool airport hotel! GREAT WX + GREAT AIRPLANE turn on scanner... (most of all are Russian spearker...but finally heard nice Thai English!!!) Thaaaaaa~~~i ninar seeeevennn fai (THA975 gao, jet, haa) back to BKK sun is ok at 705pm. Unfortunately Western jet is also popular in here... Heavy IL62 take off to Siberia at 830pm sun is atill available. continue...YK

Edwin P K 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) Wow, beautiful shots, even on-the-air shots are crisp and clear Yukihiro! Does your hand come with Image Stabilizer? The main course served looked like they nicked it from the Y class...it's not even served on proper plates! So any more pictures from your 'haul' there? Can't wait! Azman MN 1 Report post Posted August 9, 2006 Hey YK, you made it home! Hi YK... There's nothing to compare between Thai C class seat and MH 777 C class seats!!! when you were on my flight...you slept 80% of the flight anyway!!! ha ha ha let's see... MH 777 has much more leg room (not 744 though), ptv on armrest, so armrest a bit lopsided, also MH seats slightly flatter I think? but Y class on Thai has much bigger ptv screens! And the main course really looks like it came from Y class. this is going to be a long thread....

Yukihiro 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2006 Some more take off from evening Domodedovo. UTP and BKK specialist(winter time) showing me quick rotation. Any one can read Cyrillic? hehehe Russian twin engines for long haul Western twin engines Finally sun is almost gone at 915pm but still can try spotting ISO400+IS+photoshop Pieter, Yes nice ride Tu-134 Azman, MH is slightly flatter... Yes I think so too that the reason why I had better sleep onbaord TK's MH71 last time at least 3hrs. Pitch...no big difference unsure for seat width. Bring a measure to check actual pitch and width next time. Not only for food disappointed TG's new AVOD system too. No update music onboard since last year... Flew 346 5 times since Sep/05 but always same music program... I believe TG is fresh for MW guys. Compare with usual MH please!

Yukihiro 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 Day2: 21JUL We had one day return trip to Nizhny Novgorod (GOJ/UWGG). Flying Tatarstan Tu-134 from Domodedovo(DME) to N.Novgorod(GOJ). My first ride for Russian planes. Nice nose... navigator window still can be seen. Onboard classic Tupolev. Lining up Runway 32C(used to be taxi way of 32L) that is temporary opend as RWY during 32L is in under construction. 45m width and TORA is 2600m but no worry Tu-134 is powerful boy. Cabin is quiet no difference with Western Jets. Perhaps better than Orient Thai classics. 25spotters onboard hehehe click time... TK, can you see John??? Russian in flight service. Sure free of charge. Russian seat can recline to forward. Nice idea to use it as foot rest. Tupolev flaps. Arrived GOJ safely looks s#1t airport can feel Soviet taste. After arriving of course we had some ramp photography. Is it going to be MX or broken up? no movements around. Our Tu-134 is going to have rest after arriving. First time to see An-30 in my life. Nice shape! AYZ...their IL86 is HKT specialist some time like me but Tu-154b2 looks bad. Stored in junk area. Looks her life is finished. VDA pax... An-124 is popular but Yak-40...must be rare I think? continue... Gavin, Yes all action shots from my room on 4th floor of Aerotel Domodedovo. Nice hotel.
