Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted August 26, 2006 3 'head & tails' pictures I wanna share with you taken at Oslo-Gardermoen: Left to right: Turk Hava Yollari, Rossiskiy Avialiniy and Wideroe Flyveselskap: 2 SAS 737's; see the difference, and can you tell me why ? : Finnair is using the E170 aircraft between HEL and OSL: Hope, you'll like them (as due security concerns only took my Finepix along and not my 'darkside'... Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted August 27, 2006 Pieter, the flag near the rear is different. The one carrying Norway flag is for domestic flights in Norway, right? While the other one is for international? One is SAS Norway (Braathens) and another is SAS International? Woei Shen, Right...the left one is owned by Braathens, but can be used for international flights as well, not just for domestic flights...we see those quite regularly at AMS...right one is SAS (Denmark/Norway/Sweden)...since BU was taken over by SK, most BU 737's are now painted in SK colours, but not all (see my seperate thread in Obs Hill)

KC Sim 2 Report post Posted September 29, 2006 Capturing either extremity of an airplane or airplanes at the airport often spin tales of relationship between airlines . . . relationships cemented, spurned and broken. Sometimes, it depicts an identity crisis . . . We live in our little world . . . some prefer to call it oneWorld. Others believe that our existence extends beyond our world . . . and goes out to the Stars beyond our atmosphere. They consider themselves an alliance of stars . . . When tails come together, it may bring bitter rivals together . . . but it still ends up a pretty picture. and sometimes, partners choose to stand by one another. And even partners need not be totally alike . . . some characters are more solid, while others are spotty. Often within the same family, there's confusion . . . So are we headed Northwest . . . if so, why are you going Northeast? The true litmus test is whether our customers are confused about who we are. So are we acidic red or are we alkaline blue? So indeed, shooting tails can be quite fun. Many tails make for a very long tale indeed . . . check out this one taken at Manchester Airport. No need to worry about mana-MH or where's SQ . . . achar, there's PK too. KC Sim
