2023 Aircraft Deliveries to AirAsia & AirAsia X Groups, MAG, Batik Air Malaysia + other 9M Malaysia carriers

Finally managed to catch MAH on its daytime run to NRT.

MAG must seriously consider adding some A350-1000 - they will probably not be able to get more slots at LHR anytime soon. Are they not able to grow their LHR pax traffic to former B744 levels?

Wow that’s a substantial difference in total seating between international and domestic configs on the ex PR A330’s!

Yes indeed, Philippines Airlines (PR) currently flies two different type of A330-300 configurations (309pax and 363pax). With that, I would like to make an additional note though, although I have stated the 363 configuration as domestic configuration, it is also used on their Middle East run, which has high traffic due to Overseas Filipinos Workers (OFWs). If the airframe is deployed on international flight, the Premium Economy Class is not offered, only J class and Y class. Originally it has 414 all-Y seats. PR took delivery of these eight A330-300s in 2013 as part of their strategy to fight Cebu Pacific (5J)'s 430pax A330-300s. In 2017, PR had a change in management with previous owner Lucio Tan gaining control again, and decided to reconfigure the interiors.

The J class is 18 Sogerma Equinox 3D, as opposed to Thomson Aero Seating's Vantage XL in others (also in 9M-XBF and 9M-XBG)

It would appear that MH will have only two B737-8 Max for now.

9M-MVB does not appear to be in a hurry to be delivered! So, with the 2023 promised deliveries falling short, how many Max will they get in 2024? Will some 2024 deliveries slip into 2025?

MVB delayed to mid Jan. Forecast based on last month indicates mh is suppose to have 7-8 max 8 entering for 2024 alone.

Also MVC may be sporting an older negaraku wau paint.

I'm guessing this has had knock on effect on some services - I noticed BKI-NRT-BKI is 'suspended' again barely a week after resuming end Dec 2023. Wonder what other flights been affected ?

If they maintain this, they could in time to come boast more livery variations than AK's advert liveries 😁
