Subang (WMSA/SZB) 2020

Recommended Posts

This year, I open my spotting account with a very short spotting session at Subang.

Resident cargo airline is now running flights very regularly!

Today, the light was good - so I decided to extend the spotting session to take advantage of it. :good:

Ex Malaysia Airlines B777, 9M-MRP, was in Zimbabwe Airways livery in 2017. However, the triple is now painted in all-white, with registration Z-RGM.

She went for a test flight on 16/Jan for about an hour. Probably going to be delivered soon to Harare after the much hype scandal in 2017. It is sad that the livery is gone for good.

In her former livery, back in 2017.

Raya Airways has acquired this N741AX, former Amerijet International. She will be registered into 9M-RXB.

Departed 0630 this morning to Bangkok. Like her other old IL76s sisters, they need to spool up their engines for about a minute. So we had a minute where the plane 'stood' still instead of doing a rolling take off.

Good grief! King Spotter at it again! :clapping:

I think they need about 4 mins to get the engines up to operating temperature and stabilised.

Very nice catch, KS!

This particular one doesn't need that 4 mins. Just a min and went off. Maybe the old engines have been 'upgraded/overhauled/modified.'

New Sabah flag livery for Maswings' 9M-MWA. No more BIMP EAGA's Wings of Love livery.

This 'newly' acquired B772, formerly 9M-MRQ, by Air Zimbabwe, Z-NBE, departed today at about 0925 to Harare. However, she made an ATB after passing the Sumatra island and landed back at SZB at 1100.

such a route requires ETOPS or now known as EDTO.

Probably, a malfunction that does not permits entering EDTO segment. Hence the return to SZB.

I am just making assumption .

Sorry, did not have any info of this movement - so was not aware of any flights coming in to SZB.

Raya Airways has recently retired its Boeing 757 from its fleet. Here is the final landing with a commercial payload - its final rotation was SZB-KCH-BKI-KCH-SZB.

New to the fleet is this Boeing 767-200F - it is likely that this was brought in to replace the 757.
