AirAsia X is straying away from their business practice of recent. Different cabin configuration as another example. Aren't they deploying all-Y A333 for one of three Taipei route? Which flight is dropped? Edited October 30, 2018 by JuliusWong

Ipoh-SIngapore 4/7 from december ist now bookable! Against Scoot and Firefly. Hahaha, great now. FY and TR can no longer charge exhibitamt fee for IPH-SIN! Yes, I know what you have mentioned, but scissors hub is something new to AirAsia which they have never attempt before. If they are planning to use TPE as scissor hub, not sure how the current players will react. Also it will be extra operational cost to be considered.

flee 5 Report post Posted October 30, 2018 If they are planning to use TPE as scissor hub, not sure how the current players will react. Also it will be extra operational cost to be considered. I think TPE is probably an easy choice because it can be a hub for all the Airasia/Airasia X Group. As it is, the first route planned is for Airasia X - to KIX. Lets see what other routes will emerge in future.

kandiah k 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2018 After 7-year hiatus, AirAsia resumes KL-Kuantan route today KUANTAN: Low cost carrier, AirAsia Berhad (AirAsia) has reintroduced its Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan route after the service was ceased about seven years ago. According to station manager M. Hari Tharan, the return of the daily flights on Airbus 320 aircraft was to meet growing travel demand to and from the East Coast. “The A320 aircraft can take up to 180 passengers at one time. “On the first Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan flight today, we had 141 passengers and on the return flight there were 157 passengers on board. “Every day, AirAsia will provide a two-way trip and should there be more demand, we may increase the number of flights,” he said when met by reporters at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport here today. “The fare to Kuantan is as low as RM35 and this may be one of the main factors why locals and tourists choose to travel on AirAsia,” he said adding that the budget airline might hold special promotion where tickets could be bought much cheaper. Meanwhile, Malaysian Airports manager, Md Zulkifli Farid Zakaria said he was confident that the AirAsia service between Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan would bring more tourists to Pahang. “Every day this airport receives the arrival of 600 to 700 passengers and during peak season this can reach up to 1,000 people. A passenger, Helmi Abdul Jamil, 40, said the flight was comfortable and much faster than having to drive on his own. “In future I will take this flight more often as it is more convenient and the fare is reasonable,” he said. — BERNAMA

Holger 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2018 (edited) Anyway Airasia X will be suspending KUL-AKL February 11 next year. I ask myself how they wanna use 100 ordered A330neo in the whole network if they couldnt make Auckland work? Or it is because of the addon OOL-AKL...so far nonstop is not possible. But hey they offer to start KL-Srinagar 4/7 with A333 :-P “We are pleased to express our interest to operate the direct international flight with our A330 wide-body aircraft which has 377 seats from Kuala Lumpur to Srinagar. The route will serve as a new and the first direct connection between Southeast Asia and Kuala Lumpur to Srinagar, which we believe has a great potential to so much offer in terms of tourism,” said a letter from Chief Executive Officer (CEO), AirAsia, Benyamin Ismail.
