Kenny Sing 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2018 hopefully AK not going to launch and suspend Ipoh flight again. TF always complaining about Ipoh airport runway is too short. it had been extended with additional 200m worth of runway length but i'm not sure how significant that 200m will be. flee 5 Report post Posted June 20, 2018 I think the runway now is around 2,000m - it is probably still too short for flights to destinations that are further away.
Kenny Sing 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2018 true true. anyway it is still comparatively longer than Congonhas airport, by 100m longer. and at a lower elevation.

JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2018 Lake Toba! Found a lot RM 101 return but snapped up very fast! That means 4 daily flight for KCH-SBW-KCH and the addition is AK9465/AK9464. Glad to hear that, and hopefully they could beat MASwings (since they offer 8 flight daily) Make you think why they are still loss making when they're subsidised to certain extent. Holger 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2018 KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd has unveiled its fifth route into Vietnam yesterday, as the low-cost carrier launched its direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The four weekly flights will commence on November 2. Phu Quoc marks AirAsia’s 59th unique route, apart from its existing destinations in Vietnam namely, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi and Nha Trang from Malaysia. Speaking after the launching ceremony, AirAsia head of commercial Spencer Lee said that the launch of the direct flight services to Phu Quoc reflects AirAsia’s continued efforts to strengthen the airline’s connectivity within the Asean region. He also said that AirAsia will be offering a special introductory all-in-fares for the new route starting from RM90. The special fare will be available for booking from August 8 to 19 for the travel period from November 2 this year to March 29, 2019. “We are delighted to be the first airline to launch direct services from Kuala Lumpur to one of Asean’s best-kept secrets, Phu Quoc. As a truly Asean airline, we are committed to enable more people to visit more places in this region. “Our guests can connect seamlessly to Phu Quoc via Kuala Lumpur from 20 cities in 10 countries, including China, India, Australia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Travellers from any country can also visit Phu Quoc visa-free for up to 30 days, making this paradise more accessible,” he said. https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2018/08/07/airasia-unveils-fifth-route-to-vietnam/
