Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted November 15, 2016 Earlier this evening, there was an Executive Talk session with Tony Fernandes organized by Negeri Sembilan PTD Association. During the talk session,TF mentioned that D7 will be flying to Europe again next year. 2 destinations,Milan and London. Flight to London going to be relaunched in June. I don't know wether this is true or not. But he was serious during that time. Did he say June of which yr? Also which equipment will be used? I dont think the 339 will be ready before June 2017. flee 5 Report post Posted November 16, 2016 Some statements by the Airasia X CEO at the CAPA summit in Singapore: AirAsia X: we’ll open 7-8 more cities in China in the next five years. But immediate priority is adding frequencies. AirAsia X may expand its premium seat offering on the A330neo for European routes: CEO AirAsia X CEO would boost share of lay-flat to 30-40 (now 12) confident to sell, but looking for *high density* options. Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted November 16, 2016 That last point...maybe somewhat 8 abreast like what BA offers.
flee 5 Report post Posted November 16, 2016 They might want to look into making the current quiet zone cabin a higher density lie flat cabin while looking to upgrade the existing lie flats into genuine lie flats and not sloping lie flats. They may get higher yields for these improved products.
JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2016 Thai AirAsia X mulls longhaul debut in 2017 The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thai AirAsia (FD, Bangkok Don Mueang), Tassapon Bijleveld, says the LCC's longhaul sister, Thai AirAsia X (XJ, Bangkok Don Mueang), is drawing up plans for a possible longhaul debut in Europe as early as next year. In an interview with CAPA, Tassapon said the longhaul budget operator was currently looking at starting flights to Budapest, Prague, and Warsaw Chopin. Central and Eastern Europe, while important source markets for Thailand, are relatively underserved with the majority of travelers forced to transit via hubs in Western Europe, the Middle East or Russia. Currently, Thai AirAsia X's operations are limited to China, Oman, Japan, South Korea, and Iran which it serves using six A330-300s. For its part, AirAsia X (D7, Kuala Lumpur Int'l) has alluded to the launch of longhaul flights to Europe at some point in 2017. Radzi 2 Report post Posted November 22, 2016 Wow ! So it is true ? Probably ex-MH right ? When they will announce anyway? Excited to see D7 livery on 777 The fact that D7 already flying A330s and ordered A350s means that you will not see B777 in their fleet.
flee 5 Report post Posted November 22, 2016 All this talk about Thai Airasia X and no talk about Indonesia Airasia X does strongly suggest that Indonesia Airasia X is going to be placed in the freezer and its two A330s might be transferred to Thai Airasia X.
