KUL 32L in 2018

Recommended Posts

Greetings all and Happy New Year. May this 2018 brings more joyous spottings and great weather to everyone here.

Let me start off this new 32L thread with some late evening 'cherry picking'. Looking forward to seeing your pictures here as the year goes along.

Surprised to see this CX 744F lands at KUL. She was originaly bound for PEN from CGK. No idea what's her reason for this diversion. Probably due to weather in PEN.

Classic Malaysia Airlines livery.

Wonder why SQ always switch off their tail lights.

There is currently a Volga Dnepr Antonov An-124 parked near the MasKargo apron

Hi MIR, there's an AN-124 & a IL-76 still parked here as of this afternoon. IL-76 came in from DRW 2 days ago.

Made a short stop today. Nothing much to share though except a few.

There is also an ex EK 77W next to the IL-76. Any idea who is that for?

Might be this frame: Boeing 777-31H 29063/262 formerly A6-EMN.

I think flyGlobal are due to receive this.

Just to share some photos taken on 2/2/18 when Rwy 32L is used for departure

PIA Retro also greeted me on this Friday

BR218 departing around noon. Certain days will see their normal departure as BR228.

Not so lucky for passengers inside CI722 as this quite new A350 is making a turn back to the terminal.

Sneak peek for both flyGlobal planes doing sun bathing in the background for awhile now.

Do go to the airport now if you want to catch some Rwy 32L departure shots.

A very nice collection of catches to start off 2018 already, guys! :clapping:

I took Chaity's advice and got a pleasant surprise when this B737-700 taxied for departure! :) In the background is flyGlobal's B777-300.

And the China Airlines' livery looks almost perfect for the Airbus A350-900

CNY Day 2. This elusive Crystal is finally caught in daylight departure; albeit dramatic skies. She was schedule to Nairobi, Kenya on a Chinese New Year Aircruise named 'Wonders of Africa Safari Adventure' from 17-23 Feb. For you guys info, the package cost USD28K per person based on double occupancy. (https://www.crystalcruises.com/StaticPages/aircruises-asia/en/index.html)

Food services were catered by Brahim's and were loaded at the F8 Remote bay. Pushed back commenced at about 1440 and towed to terminal.

People at the MTB had a good view of her as she was on hold at that position for about 20 mins before towed into Bay B2. Then the skies turned off the lights.

And the skies being dramatic and poured onto us spotters here from 1645 for about 20 minutes.

After a few minutes of delay and luckily the rain stopped, she taxied out for her departure to Nairobi.

For thoes who are interested to catch her arrival on 23/2, her arrival is at about 0800LT. Do track her on FR24
