BKI/WBKK 2018

The irony of an airport. When it was built it brought people to that place. Then when the population grow, the airport have to move elsewhere.

I just hope that Jalan Selangor will be kept open to public as long as possible... and they keep BKI there. We like our airports to be close to where we live and it saves time and money.

But there are rumours of BKI will eventually be moved to elsewhere, God knows when. Always crop up now and then. TAED doesn't help the case either.

On another note, the DCA quarters, still the staffs living there? Behind the meteorology observation station. Or is it also being cleared for the works?

we can't stop the project now.. should be since it's announced. :pardon: as some road side news, Perdana Park is the dessert for this project anyway.

for Jalan Selangor should bye bye anytime soon, when the ground works getting heavy. as of BKI will still be stay here, for the time being.

no idea with the quarters. but the best view house is gone now. as well as the houses for Polis and Army, windbell, the abundant borneo resort (or sorts off).

cry with no tears.. shall plan to move on, either KL or nearby airport

main concern shall not be the population, air traffics and passenger flow keep growing should be. so the more interesting traffic there was, the nearer we are. :lazy:

Just FYI, according to routesonline dated 2/3/2018, Malindo will cancel BKI -TPE route in April. Last flight 10/4/2018. They are fast to axe routes, as usual.

Interesting TPE gets the axe, leaving MH and AK to slug it out. MH also left HKG, leaving AK the sole monopoly in this route.

However OD ETD from TPE was very bad timing.

A Cx b772 just diverted to bki due to medical emergency. Not sure how long I'll be at the terminal but likely it will be a short one.

There was a dc-3 that make a quick refueling and A333 9M-MTD now A332 9M-MTU coming as MH2640. Result of multiple 738 cancelled flights.

Interesting to note that MH had to resort to chartering a DC-3 to fill in the gap. Must feel like Malayan Airways once again ... hahaha
