Right now, MH is in a big mess with pilot shortage - it is particularly acute with B737 crews. So I think fleet planning is now on the back burner. The A350-900 seems to be the ideal foundation for MAB to revive its business and its network. It is versatile (see how SQ and QR uses them) and has great reliability. It is also easy for A330 crews to convert to the A350. Logically, MAB should order more as the A330 fleet gets old and are retired. Should be C38Y262,the original MU layout. XJ took in one recently without complete reconfiguration. Yes, it is a good possibility but D7 has also mentioned that it is considering a single class high density configuration to be deployed on their China routes. I believed they wanted to put 400+- TOB for a better profit but since this lease aircraft comes with different door and only equip with single escape slide, so 2 (D3L&R) doors cant be used during ditching and only 6 doors with slide raft will be used during ditching. There is a maximum occupants for each rafts so that is why the 367 comes in. Compared to current D7 A330s, all of them equip with dual lane slide rafts for all doors. Airbus couldn't deliver fast enough, thus AirAsia has been sourcing from used market. At the same time, they are selling off/retiring some especially those IAE-powered at AirAsia Philippines. Good god how do those crew work with half cabin? Throughout my flight they spent most of the time at galley putting away stuffs into correct cubicles while being interrupted now and then by pax going to look. And the loo is as tight as it can get. However, this thread is about deliveries! Recent new A320ceo (-AGY -AGZ -RAA -RAC) comes with spaceflex cabin with 186 seats, and it would seems like all A320ceo onwards will also be standard 186 seats. Standardised production at Airbus, I guess... now, any frame can be fitted with CEO or NEO. That may help to reduce inventory, if NEO engines are delayed. Took photo of spaceflex cabin recently. The differences are as follows: Technical name difference: A330-300 Type A (Current), Engine: Trent 772B A330-300 Type I (Current), Engine: Trent 772B A330-300 Type I( A ) (New), Engine: Trent 772B A330-300 Type I( B ) (New), Engine: Trent 772B Airport operation reference: A330-300 Type A 377 seats (12BC, 365EY) ; 3x3x3 A330-300 Type B 300 seats (38BC, 262EY) ; 2x4x2 A330-300 Type C 285 seats (30BC, 255EY) ; 2x4x2 A330-300 Type D 367 seats (All 367EY) ; 3x3x3 A330-300 Type B First XJ flight is DMKCTS 620/621 which scheduled for 10th - 30th Apr 2018 then will be XJ flight NRT 600/601 which scheduled for 1st May – 31st Jul 2018 After that, it will be renovated to new seat configuration (Seat configuration is now on process of designing). A330-300 Type C Aircraft will operate XJ’s new route, DMKNGO. XJ638/639 will commence on 30th October 2018. A330-300 Type D Aircraft will operate XJ’s current route, DMKKIX. XJ612/613 This aircraft will also operate XJ’s new route, DMKNGO. XJ638/639 from 1st February 2019 to 31st March 2019. This is due to Type C aircraft that will be taken off service for modification. Current configuration: 12J 365Y 367 seats- Should be from China Eastern Airlines, to be reconfigured into 367 seats only due to smaller 3LR door. Current configuration: C38 262Y 300 seats- from China Eastern Airlines HS-XTG. Current configuration: C38 262Y 285 seat- from Singapore Airlines??
