jahur 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2018 (edited) Saw D7 cabin crews are tasked to undergo cabin familiarzation on another different type or A330-300. The premium cabin will be sporting 36 flatbeds and economy class is configured in a wider more comfortable 2-4-2 seating. Seems to be more premium configured than their usual standard cabin probably a signal for return to Europe? Edited June 28, 2018 by jahur

flee 5 Report post Posted June 29, 2018 I find it hard to believe that D7 will only have 260 seats on their A333 or A339. Even a low density seating config would mean something closer to 300 seats - that seating plan looks more like one for FSCs since it is a 2-4-2 configuration. Maybe this plane will be leased on a very short term basis in this configuration and will be converted at the next C or D check. Remember their ex-AC A340s? Kenny Sing 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2018 guess their low desne A333 won't last long, all in all, D7 is not an FSC, they still need to make profit

Tom/PER 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2018 They will have A330-300 Leased aircraft that will fit 367 all EY seats. Probably enter service by late August. 367 all Y seats is a very spacious configuration in a A333, D7 usually have 377 including the 12 Premium seats. Seems to be more premium configured than their usual standard cabin probably a signal for return to Europe? I managed to do some digging around and found some answers. A330 Type 1 is actually the aircraft that was delivered to Thai Airasia X and registered as HS-XTG. It currently flies only to Tokyo, maybe because of its more premium configuration. It would appear that Thai Airasia X does not want to spend money reconfiguring this plane until they have more solid plans for it. So it is flying a more premium route as the third daily flight from DMK-NRT and the fares for this flight (XJ 600/601) are a little higher. This aircraft is ex-China Eastern Airlines painted in "Shanghai Disney Resort" special colours - so this explains the FSC configuration for now...
Nabiel Haniff 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2018 The reason why 367 Pax for A330 leased for MAAX just because the DOOR 3L&3R are single lane raft. So based on maximum occupance for the raft, its only can carry maximum of 367 pax. If the current A330, which has 8 doors with dual lane raft, the aircraft can fit up to 440+ pax. If you guys also noticed, AirAsia group now is rebranding into One AirAsia group. No more X for A330 operations. Their livery for A330 also similar with A320. No more AAX Logo. GeO 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2018 Kinda cool configuration for the economy 2-4-2. The 2 window seats ideal for those travelling as couple on tight budget. Those can afford, would go for the Flatbed.
