Recommended Posts

XBD arrived in KUL three days ago. Anyone know it's cabin configuration? All Y with 367 seats? Smaller 3L/R door.

Thai AirAsia X has also slowed down their used A330 induction. Several frames being prepared longer than usual.

Äh its in service since 18th october :-)!

Trying to look for interior photo of all Y A333 but could not find any. Also tried booking TPE flight D7 367 to look at seat map, but it shows the standard seat map.

9M-RAI Airbus A320-200 AirAsia Dec 2018 Y186 2x CFM56-5 750493

  • Ferried TSN-KUL 4- 5 Dec 2018 on delivery

source: planespotters

In the report about the Q3 AirAsia predicts 223 A320 at the end of the year.

Planespotters have now 223 but including one old stored ZestAir A320.

The only difference is a 20th A320 for India. So i think this one will come later this month from outside.

Prediction year end:

94 Malaysia

62 Thailand

24 Indonesia

21 Philippines

20 India

2 Japan

Plus 2 A320 leased to a third company ( PIA i think ).

Airbus A330-343 MSN 773 HS-XTH Thai AirAsia X Delivery 17dec18 AUH-DMK ex M-ABLM

Source: skyliner

They took delivery of this aircraft after all. Wonder why she went all the way to Abu Dhabi then return to KL?

I think there are one or two more used A333 due for AirAsia Group before A339neo delivery.

Maybe there was no other capacity to do some cabinworks?

A month ago Hawaiian send an A332 to Rome just for painting...

Yes one more to come and maybe another one from Indonesia.

Not a delivery update, however I noted that AirAsia has removed last A320-232 from service.

RP-C8995 has been in storage since Aug 2018,ending legacy aircraft from Zest Air.

Collectively AirAsia Group operates 191 A320ceo now (both used and factory fresh), with 5 more factory fresh left for delivery. 3/191 are now with Pakistan Int'l Airlines.

For retirement, AirAsia has retired 15 A320-232ceo.

For A320-214/216, AirAsia has sold and retired 8 to other airlines.

AirAsia has over the past two years sold off their fleet ownership to third party name Castlelake, BBAM and on forth to become full digital travel technology company.

2018 is done and it has been a busy year for Airasia, Airasia X and Malaysia Airlines.

Malindo/Batik Air did not expand their fleet - 2019 night see them with some new aircraft.

Here is the final delivery spreadsheet for the year:
