jahur 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2017 So is 737-900ER an interior aircraft compared to A321CEO？ The current A321CEO thanks to its higher fuselage from ground has higher bypas engine ratio. The 737-900er is too short hence a lot of limitation especially runway length usage and climb performance. The 737MAX they will be making the landing gears higher hoping for higher bypas and performance however the max9 is still carrying less possible passengers than the upcoming A321NEO hence Boeing studying the possibility of another stretched version in the MAX series. Landing gear will be modified to enable clearence for the longer fusealage during take off. They will continue with the LEAP-1B with, what they call a "thrust bump". Still not a fair fight with the A321 but at least it gives an option to their existing customers who need a higher cap single aisle. CAPA analysis in Jan revealed 2017 plan for 15 A320s from lessors group has secured 10 A320ceo leases of the now 13 planned for 2017. 3 more to go = opportunity for lessors! Malaysia AirAsia could end up growing fleet more than the eight A320s currently planned AirAsia Japan will launch services "soon" and end 2017 w 5 A320s.
