2017 Aircraft Deliveries to MAB Group, AirAsia Group & Malindo/Batik Malaysia

Recommended Posts

So is 737-900ER an interior aircraft compared to A321CEO?

The current A321CEO thanks to its higher fuselage from ground has higher bypas engine ratio. The 737-900er is too short hence a lot of limitation especially runway length usage and climb performance. The 737MAX they will be making the landing gears higher hoping for higher bypas and performance however the max9 is still carrying less possible passengers than the upcoming A321NEO hence Boeing studying the possibility of another stretched version in the MAX series.

Boeing is looking at the 737 MAX10.

A plug insert will add 2 rows of seats enabling 189 seats in a 2 class layout.

Landing gear will be modified to enable clearence for the longer fusealage during take off.

They will continue with the LEAP-1B with, what they call a "thrust bump".

Still not a fair fight with the A321 but at least it gives an option to their existing customers who need a higher cap single aisle.

Yup, slow delivery of engines. Both PW n CFM are having problems ramping up production. In addition, there are also some technical fixes needed on PW engines.

Greetings gentlemen, I've heard from a usually reliable source that the reg for the first Max frame 1A201 (l/n 5948) will be 9M-LRC.

Tyke shows it on his blog on the 737 page as this reg as well, albeit with a question mark but his stuff is usually accurate. https://tykesaeroblog.blogspot.com

Do we have any Malindo staff here that can offer some intel ?

I think this will be refitted with AK's 180 seat configuration and, maybe, uprated to A320-216.

This might be allocated to Airasia India.

Purely speculation, but I just but wonder if this lease from the Chinese lessor has anything related to the upcoming sale of Asia Aviation Capital ? :)
