flee 5 Report post Posted April 2, 2017 Today, the Breitling DC-3 flew a total of four sorties, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. We had more chances of catching her! Taxiing to kilo for runway 15 departure Rolling down runway 15 for a gentle takeoff After a 30 minute cruise around KL, its back for a landing - nicely and gracefully! flee 5 Report post Posted April 3, 2017 (edited) My final Breitling DC-3 shot. What a beauty she is, even at a ripe old age of 77! I had watched those operated by MSA taking off from runway 33 many, many years ago and still remember their distinctive sound. I also remember those that the RMAF operated in the 1960s. Thanks for bringing this grand old lady back to Malaysia, Breitling! Any chance of bringing the Super Connie next? Edited April 3, 2017 by flee

Maybe going back after breakfast, before lunch. Or after lunch, before dinner. Edited April 24, 2017 by KS Ong
Deezzul Jaafar 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 April 25, 2017 - The Sultan of Brunei departed at 1209hrs April 23, 2017 - The Crown Prince of Brunei arrived at 1159hrs
KS Ong 1 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 Good ones Deezzul. When coming out of AF base via Zulu, His Majesty's pilots requested for Rwy33 departure as it is their norm. To our delight, the tower denied their request as asked them to cross and taxi towards Rwy15. For your info, the sheer lenght of this B748 really max out the camera. @18mm (DX) and 1.5 crop body. The two GEnx-2B67 still looks very purple (new) after delivery in Oct 16.
S V Choong 4 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 Big engines. Wing flex is not as pronounced as the Dreamliner. True... even a normal heavily loaded 748 bound for the US from China or Korea would not have the same flex as the 787s. A bit of a shame really. She would look smashing with a good bit of bending to the wing.
Radzi 2 Report post Posted April 26, 2017 Wing flex is less pronounced on 4-engined aircraft probably because the outer engines are pulling the outer wing down. Just my theory.

KS Ong 1 Report post Posted May 10, 2017 (edited) Baby -700s treat today. Las Vegas departing for Singapore. She needs a thorough bath. Regent had 2 hours test flight abeam the coast of Port Klang/Banting. Upon returning to SZB, they did a go around at 200ft and a touch and go. When they came to land at the end of flight test, they managed to have the plane completely stopped before taxiway H exit, which probably used a KM or less of runway. Maybe they were testing their 'brand new brakes' Edited May 10, 2017 by KS Ong
