Is Xiamen Air a seasonal charter or scheduled flight?

Yes its a schedule flight compared to Lion Air and China Southern which operate based charter basis.

Not spotting related, but apparently BKI will have inline baggage screening by year end

I guess that will bring operations to what the airport was originally designed for and those clumsy looking glass walls partitioning off the check-in islands can be gotten rid of eventually :)

Those glasses are definitely an eye sore. Wonder whether they will take them down when inline baggage screening is implemented... we shall see.

Good catch of the CI 738. They commenced BKI - KHH awhile back on schedule basis. I have yet to catch any of them.

Thank you for the compliment. Did not expect CI 738 showed up on that day.

We have a visitor A319-115ACJ Reg B54111 from TSA at T2 Bay 28 (I overheard from liveatc) arriving around 1730 when it was raining. Not sure how long it will be here though.

Around 1130 on 6/3 I switch on FR24 and saw an A342 without flight info heading to BKI from BWN. I have no doubt it was to be HRH Sultan of Brunei's plane V8-001. My best bet then was the plane to do a few touch-n-go at BKI before heading off to SDK and TWU and then back either to BKI or straight to BWN. The previous few touch-n-go has always been to TWU and SDK since lesser traffic. In fact, was told that most of the TnG request to BKI tower ended up being rejected.

So I drove back home to get my camera while keeping an eye on the A342. To my surprised the plane landed and parked at the far end of T2. As I approach T2, there were plenty of security personnel and some transport truck from logistic company. So I thought someone came to do some shopping.

The plane's engine was left running as the personnel loaded into the aircraft. At around 1230, about 1 hour after arrival, the VIP entourage arrived, some 20 of them. Soon the plane was cleared for push-back and departure.

Self-power push back. My son always do that when flying FlightSim.

No it was meant to be a joke. Yes the tug was available. Saw them having a discussion near the nose gear, then the bar was removed. Have no idea what they were doing at that time. Then the reverse was deployed. I thought they were testing the equipment, until they power up and the plane move back slowly.
