Waiping 12 Report post Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Came back on AK the evening of the wedding itself and was eager to spot the B747-8i, Unfortunately the weather the next day was horrendous and only got better around 3pm when 9M-III departed. T2 was full to the brim and some aircraft were parked at T1 and move to T2 to pick up their passengers. First to leave - M42-02 VP-BLF N89FC No doubt the centre of attention for the day - V8-BLF Last but not least - 9M-III Bonus for the day. Came in before JOHOR1 departed. I got a feeling this will be an awesome year for spotting. Edited January 24, 2017 by Waiping

Md Amer 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Arrived from Kuala Lumpur at Kota Kinabalu after 2 hours of journey with some turbulence along the way to BKI. Quite scary but managed to land safely ! Kudos to the pilots ! Here is my picture after arrival which only one snapped after disembark process, enjoy! Airasia Airbus A320-216 9M-AHR "LINE" color scheme fly me home as AK5134 from KUL. Parked at gate A7.
Md Amer 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2017 Here is my catch last saturday, nothing special but got bunch of foreign airlines from China and Brunei..wishing Korean airliners come in daylight unfortunately they like to come in the midnight so it's hard to spot them. Anyway, enjoy ! Initially wanted to come at 4 PM but a bit late and almost missed the Xiamen Air landing but managed to reach the spotting location just in time before their arrival ! Malindo Air Boeing 737-8GP 9M-LCD "Batik" livery. Formerly under Batik Air Indonesia. Arrived from CAN. China Southern Airlines Airbus A321-211 B-6685. Main target! Newcomer in BKI! Xiamen Air Boeing 737-86N B-5603. Taxing to Terminal 1 after long journey from Fuzhou. Nose shot of 9M-MWB nicknamed as "Kinabalu" 9M-AFP lift off to JHB as AK5303. Donning the "1 Malaysia" color scheme. That's make Airasia unique which they have many different color scheme. 9M-MWH nicknamed as Layang-Layang with new livery I guess? RBA Airbus A320-232 V8-RBT lift off to BWN. New lens allow me to get this kind of angle. 9M-MXM accelerate runway 02 9M-AQF 9M-AJI and the Police Station Headquarters. That's all for my spotting log, hope there will some interesting traffic in BKI in 2017 and when it does, standby with your camera ! hehehe..

BC Tam 2 Report post Posted February 14, 2017 Is Xiamen Air a seasonal charter or scheduled flight? Apparently scheduled But the manner in which these Chinese carriers dip in and out of the scene as per demand, doubt it makes much difference whether it's scheduled or chartered or ad hoc
