Asia-Pacific & Middle East Tour 2016

The Red Arrows have embarked on the team’s biggest overseas tour in a decade.
More than 20 displays and a series of flypasts will be performed across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team.
The major tour, which will take two months to complete, will see the Red Arrows perform in China for the first time ever.
The deployment will contribute to the UK government’s GREAT campaign and showcase the best of British innovation and industry.
Squadron Leader David Montenegro, Team Leader of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team and Red 1, said: “Ever since the team’s first season in 1965, the Red Arrows have performed on a global scale.
“The team – flying British-built aircraft – has displayed to millions of people in more than 55 countries around the world.
“This year, in 2016, we are honoured to represent the United Kingdom on an even greater platform, to new locations.”

12.30-2.30pm is when light is at its worst...

Dunno when the exact time of the display is. Hope it is closer to 2.30.

Weird venue for a Red Arrows display, but I suppose Tony Fernades (yes, blame him again!) has something to do with it!

The Royal Air Force’s Aerobatic Team or Red Arrows' visit to Singapore that was scheduled for Thursday, 13 October 2016 is now postponed to Saturday, 15 October 2016.

The rescheduling was caused by an unexpected weather system in the South Asian region.

Please be aware that the Red Arrows’ Flypast over the vicinity of Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay and Sentosa will now take place from around 12.30pm to about 1.00pm on Saturday, 15 October 2016.

Hi Wong, The Red Arrows are still set to flypast KLCC at 3.45 pm on Friday (14th October). As for the event on Monday (17th October), the event at Epson College has not been rescheduled and is by invitation only. You may watch the display from the vicinity of Epson College. Looks like they will fly from Chiangmai straight to China to avoid the various storms in the South China Sea. I very much doubt they will do their Malaysia-Singapore flypasts this time. Perhaps they might reschedule it when they are on the way back from China.
