SS Lee 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2016 Thanks Laurie. Yes, it is really rare for an A340 to come in, even more so now without Cathay. Good Catch. Saw that it was still there last night. Hope to catch it in flight one day.

SS Lee 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2016 Selamat Hari Raya everyone !!! Thanks Raj. I guess it is also due to the arrangement of the middle gear that adds to it too. LaurieB 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) Very nice shots SS Lee. Must try to get down to the airport more often. Looks like A39-001 was en-route to the UK for the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford this weekend. Just spotted it on this site heading in that direction: http://global.adsbexchange.com/VirtualRadar/desktop.html Edited July 6, 2016 by LaurieB
Raymund Yeoh 1 Report post Posted July 8, 2016 TG sending B777 for 15th July departure to BKK. This is based on my e-ticket information. After that they will change to Thai Smiles on the 16th.
SS Lee 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2016 Thanks Laurie, and Raymund for the heads up. TG425 / TG426 have been operated by 777s this whole Raya week. More people coming to Penang I guess. Surprised that Dragonair didn't add the additional evening flight to Penang with their 320. FedEx B767-3S2F(ER) (N107FE) More shots of the MRTT. SS Lee 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2016 Noticed that Thai was sending their 777 to Penang, so.... why not. Did a trip there and was surprised by this visitor. BC Tam 2 Report post Posted July 11, 2016 Thank you so much for that shot of the KA 333 on push back Confirmation there that the white on the engines do have that very slight blueish hue, against the white of the fuselage Anyone has any idea why ?
Waiping 12 Report post Posted July 11, 2016 Guess they didn't paint the engine when transfer from CX?
SS Lee 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2016 Read from A.net that KA and CX swapped parts A LOT (parts like cowlings and sorts). So rather than having patches of colours that didn't belong to their respective aircraft, all were standardized to CX colours.
BC Tam 2 Report post Posted July 11, 2016 That KA cowling with red dragon logo would stick out like some ginormous sore thumb on a CX bird ! SS Lee 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2016 Yup. Most probably an upgrade for the holidays. They are still sending them here. You know how we would walk on the Tarmac to AirAsia planes? SS Lee 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2016 Some action from the Pearl of the Orient. Arrived to find this soaring overhead. Looking sleek. To say that the lighting was horrendous would be a complete understatement. That said, it was an enjoyable session nonetheless as the cool wind was always blowing. Have not seen this in a long time AirAsia A320-216 (9M-AHL) Dragonair A330-342 (B-HLJ) Flights to Bangkok have now been replaced with Thai Smile aircraft. MASwings ATR72-600 (9M-MYD) AirAsia A320-216 (9M-AHW) My attention was directed to something alive and stationary. Mynah This one looked a little bit different from the others.
