Suzanne Goh 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2016 (edited) Some of these you've seen - some of which I posted on the AusBT twitter and FB page: [/url] Thanks for the pictures, really wished it would be a proper Y+ offering instead.Quick question: if you were given a choice between a windowless Y+ seat and a windowed standard Y seat, both at the same price, which would you choose? Y+ There's only so much you can look out before getting bored The placards mention shoulder belt... is the shoulder belt separate from the seat belt ie you can detach it during cruise? Yes. This shoulder belt can be separated from the sash belt like QF new J. Edited March 22, 2016 by Suzanne Goh

This shoulder belt can be separated from the sash belt like QF new J. Yes, Y+ for me too (but aisle seat, if I can't have a good window seat) - quieter cabin (since it is only 2 rows) will mean a more restful flight, especially if it is a red eye one. Thanks for the very prompt sharing of pix, Suzanne! Much appreciated.
Jeffery Lim 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2016 I was there too! Did you try the throne seat as they called it?? I felt that people taller than 6ft may have difficulty to lie flat on the seat though..haha

Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted March 22, 2016 It seems that there are (or what looks like) bassinet points for the front couple seats of Y+. One would have thought the sub-class could be a quiet zone. I wonder what is that cavity that can be seen at the top of the biz seat side compartment. Looks like one can put a small flower pot in there.

Kenneth Chong WT 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2016 No joke...looks like this plane only does KUL-SYD vv all day everyday since her roll out... Looks like MTI is not active, being retrofitted maybe???
Ashley Lee 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2016 Just flew SYD-KUL and my my what a difference it was; didn't want to wake up for landing! Contrary to pictures seen during the launch, the bedding remains the same, scratchy pseudo-silk, yellowy duvet and pillow. Being a side-sleeper, I thought I would face problems with sleep because of the narrow looking footwell; this wasn't the case at all in 1K. Just be careful with your small personal belongings when in bed mode, there is a sizeable gap by the side of the arm rest in bed mode and my dropped item was lost forever. Overall, a huge improvement and staff morale was high on this flight presumably because of the new product? (N=1 so not statistically significant really). RaymondT 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2016 Somehow it looks more welcoming compared to CX's business product... Agreed. I have never been a fan of the herring bone structure. I understand you get aisle access for all seats and equal amenities as well, but it always looks tight/cramp/claustrophobic at first glance.

I understand you get aisle access for all seats and equal amenities as well, but it always looks tight/cramp/claustrophobic at first glance.IMO those seats provide the best balance between space and privacy. At least MH didn't go for the staggered 1-2-1 config. Those seats can be quite claustrophobic without being very spacious.
