2016 Singapore Airshow, Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore

Recommended Posts

Scoot aircraft only on display on the first trade day.

HTH.

I was there today (17th), didnt see scoot 789 but got A350 MSN002.

TUDM sent in Su30MKI for aerobatic display, very impressive. While other demo fighter jet are zooming past at breakneck speed, Su30 was doing slow-stll-fall-recover stunt... Seriously scary movement, but very much unique.

And the A350 aerobatic display... soooo quiet, can hardly hear the engine sound.

cant understand why they (RMAF/Airbus?) dont let visitors in the A400, while you can practically touch and enter the other military displays (except the F-22 of course)

Yup, the best flying display was the Malaysian's Sukhoi Su-30MKM.

Have never been to an airshow. After looking at the pics and words about the Sukhoi's, suddenly feeling the urge to make a daytrip down to SG on Saturday.

Thoughts on that? Worth it? Not even sure how to plan an itinerary like how long to spend there etc. Any suggestions appreciated!

Worth it if you are going just for the acrobatic displays. Not worth it if you are visiting the static displays as the queue will be really long and some of the planes will be gone tomorrow. BTW I just checked, there are still tickets for public days. I distinctly remember in 2014 it was sold out about a week before. Not sure if less people buying or they are admitting more visitors this year

Tomorrow, Trade Day 4, most of the vendors will close shop.

It is also a National Education day where selected schools will be bus in to see the airshow.

Anyway, no aerobatic display for tomorrow.

AFAIK, the RMAF A400M still not operational certified, even during the 2015 LIMA, we were not allowed into the aircraft.

Mainly wanna see the A350 and A380 from QR. When you say queues, means to get to see the planes? Inside?

Don't think you will see these on public days.

Getting inside the planes is easy of you are the media. Other visitors are by invitation only.
