Its a good thing if their standard of airshow display is not vastly improved - they looked amateurish when side by side with the ROKAF Black Eagles.

Im fairly new here, seldom post things here also. Was wondering any difference between Trade days and Public days? especially in terms of flying display. Interested to go and snap some pictures from there. Best if can tag along with some Malaysianwings member here to guide me as well.

If you can go for the trade days, by all means please go. Much less crowded, more planes and all booths open. On public days people will be crawling all over the place, queues will snake to all the planes on static display, some booths will be empty as they sometimes pack up after the last trade day and also most passenger jets will depart back on the last trade day. Most if not all military ones will stay till the end. ROKAF Black Eagles should perform on both public days. I don't expect the A350 to stay

ROKAF Air Force aerobatic team to attend Singapore Airshow

Published : 2016-02-04 14:49

A military aerobatic team will attend an air show in Singapore later this month to show off their flying skills and promote South Korean-made aircraft, the Air Force said Thursday.

The Black Eagles team of 75 members, including nine pilots, will depart from South Korea on Sunday and arrive at Singapore's Changi Airport on Wednesday after making stops in Taiwan, the Philippines and Brunei, the Air Force said in a press release.

After training, the team will put on four performances with nine T-50B trainer jets and three C-130 transport aircraft during the Singapore Airshow 2016 set for Feb. 16-21.

Ranked among the world's top three air shows, the biennial event is attended by large numbers of aerospace and defense industry officials from around the world.

"As the Black Eagles perform three-dimensional, advanced maneuvers, we expect to not only show the world the excellence of our T-50 range of aircraft but also help the T-X trainer jet project designed for export to the U.S.," the Air Force said.

At a ceremony marking the team's departure in Wonju, southeast of Seoul, Air Force Chief of Staff Jeong Kyeong-doo encouraged the participants, asking them to raise the global status of South Korea and its air force through a memorable performance.

The Black Eagles will be taking part in the air show for the second time following their first attendance in 2014. (Yonhap)

Boeing and the world’s first all-787 airline, Singapore Airlines’ low-cost, long-haul subsidiary Scoot, will demonstrate the passenger-pleasing features of the Boeing 787-9, which Scoot will display during the show’s first day.

Scoot currently operates 10 787-8 and 787-9 airplanes, and plans to open new markets and routes with an additional 10 787s on order.

Boeing defense products expected at the show include the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15SG fighters, as well as AH-64 Apache and CH-47 Chinook helicopters. A U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon, two F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft and a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey are scheduled to be on static display. A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III is scheduled to participate in the show flying display and also be on static display.

I was there today (17th), didnt see scoot 789 but got A350 MSN002.

TUDM sent in Su30MKI for aerobatic display, very impressive. While other demo fighter jet are zooming past at breakneck speed, Su30 was doing slow-stll-fall-recover stunt... Seriously scary movement, but very much unique.

And the A350 aerobatic display... soooo quiet, can hardly hear the engine sound.
