lawrence1967 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2015 When we speak of WW2, a fascinating subject for me, are the captured aircraft. I share with you the link below, which features an interesting collection of photographs about them. Many of them are new to me and I had never seen with these marks. I hope you enjoy. http://aviacaoemfloripa.blogspot.com.br/2011/01/aeronaves-capturadas.html Best Regards.
Geoff R. 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2015 Interesting collection of photos. The picture of the two ATAIU-SEA (Allied Technical Air Intelligence Unit - South East Asia) marked Zeros was probably taken over Malaya whilst operating out of Tebrau airfield in early 1946. For any one interested in the subject there is a very good book available called "Wings of the Luftwaffe: Flying the captured German aircraft of World War II". It was written by Captain Eric Brown who amazingly flew fifty-five different captured German aircraft types. Geoff
Tamizi Hj Tamby 1 Report post Posted March 29, 2015 What an interesting write-up; Thanks for sharing with us here Lawrence. You might want to translate it in English since not many of us understand Brazilian Portuguese. Just my two of cents here
