Qantas’s first Boeing 747-400 has landed at Illawarra Airport, Australia

VH-OJA holds two B747 records :

- The longest B747 flight from London to Sydney non-stop, 18,000km in 20 hours 8 mins

- The shortest B747 flight from Sydney to Illawara Airport in 12 mins

Nice to be able to get into the old birds and marvel at all those dials, knobs, levers, ..... no on board computers to help fly and navigate back then I guess :)

I suspect the seats in the Connie's cabin were not original spec but salvaged from some retired airliner of latter era

And that stairway truck - I'm sure there were one or two of those at our local airport, in days long past now
