flee 5 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 Japan Airlines (JAL) has firmed up an order with Mitsubishi Aircraft for 32 MRJ regional jets, having signed a letter of intent in August 2014. The carrier will deploy the MRJs from 2021, to be operated by its wholly-owned regional subsidiary J-AIR, says JAL and Mitsubishi Aircraft in a joint statement. “As a network carrier that also operates regional jets, we are contributing to the birth of Japan’s first passenger jet,” says JAL president Yoshiharu Ueki. flee 5 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 The MRJ90 looks like a highly suitable aircraft for Firefly and Maswings. Since ATR is baulking at building a 90 seater turboprop, the MRJ would be the ideal upgrade for these two airlines.

Mohd Suhaimi Fariz 2 Report post Posted January 30, 2015 but jet engine can't use subang ariport right?? Indeed, but surely some leeway can be given for RJs? Those jets are not as loud as the CFM56 & V2500.
flee 5 Report post Posted January 30, 2015 Those jets are not as loud as the CFM56 & V2500. And those PWs of Transmille B722s.. Seriously, FY have operated jets out of KUL quite successfully, so it should be no problem for them to start up again in KLIA using the MRJ90.
