Turkmenistan Airlines to KUL

Recommended Posts

Early next year (February 12) will be able to fly twice a week from Ashgabat to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). For citizens of Turkmenistan provides visa-free entry into the country. In addition, this flight will be docked with the international flights from Ashgabat - Dubai, Germany, France, England, Russia and Turkey, which will provide additional convenience for transit air travelers.

B772LR. Seating 28J, 263Y. Not much info on on board service, Skytrax is a mix-bag of opinions. (not the best source to gauge feedback, but we can use it as reference to manage expectation nevertheless). Only managed to find this pic of their J cabin:

Maybe the same set of crew will operate the flight back to Ashgabat? Hence the loooooooong period of plane on the ground

According to this trip report, there's a Turkmenistan president photo at front cabin.

Imagine if Ah Jib Gor or Tony Abbott's photo is on the gallery wall and what would people do to it. :p

This is the most bizarre stuff I have ever come across. Imagine the person sitting in bulkhead seat......

Defacing the leader's pic in Malaysia is an offense under the law apparently. Therefore as advised, do not attempt....lolx!

True, actually to be honest. But kind of waste of resource tbh. Maybe they can have a small set of KL based crew to operate intra-Asia flight. A short hop to Jakarta on a B772LR will be a good opportunity for us aviation enthusiast since no SEA-based airline operates it here.

yeah could have done a CGK return easily with one crew on day 5/fridays...

would be a nice combo for me for the June anniversary: RIX-ASB-KUL-ASB-RIX (if the fare is right, that is)...

A Turkmenistan Airlines Boeing 777-22KLR (EZ-A777) landed in KLIA about 10 minutes ago as T53201. Is this a charter/seasonal or for maintenance? I believe they have terminated KUL as a destination a while back.
