MAS B772 9M-MRD (Ex Heliconia) Flight MH17 AMS-KUL Shot Down by Russian Missile in Ukraine All 298 POB Killed

Recommended Posts

Very proud of Julie Bishop, she's a fierce woman and didn't mince her words directed at Russia.

Russia sure has done a lot of explaining: denial, brainwashing their citizens, fabricating alternative theories (aka lying) and now veto-ing (it's not a word)... if they have nothing to hide why are they doing all this? As someone else said, they are guilty.

Today the bird eats the ants, but when the bird dies, the ants eat the bird. We may not see justice yet but those who live by the sword die by the sword.

Russia has a point in not agreeing to international tribunal as of now because the country thinks it is too early (criminal side of the investigation is not yet conclusive and published) and too politically motivated (More like the West against Russia in general).

And the latest of attempts to pin the crash on anyone else but Russia:-

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/mh17-recording-of-cia-agents-conspiring-to-bring-down-flight-ridiculed-after-errors-expose-it-as-russian-propaganda-10455957.html

MH17: Recording of CIA agents 'conspiring to bring down flight' ridiculed after errors expose it as Russian propaganda

As tales of high-stakes espionage go, it is a bit more Carry On Spying than John le Carré. An audio recording purporting to be two American CIA agents conspiring to bring down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 has been ridiculed online, after a series of embarrassing errors exposed it as poorly made Russian propaganda.

The seven-minute recording is presented as being a series of bugged telephone conversations between two secret operatives, but the stilted greetings and cumbersome dialogue suggest that both men are reading from a script and are unfamiliar with the English language.

Those pics of the deceased still strapped to their seats and the bloodied kebaya video footage still haunts me. Indeed such crime can never be forgiven.

I'm impressed the Dutch Prime Minister flies MH.

On the other hand, our Prime Minister/wife flies by private jet.

Russia could face a barrage of legal action over the downing of flight MH17 as affected countries gather in New York to discuss their options.

Australia’s foreign minister, Julie Bishop, will meet with her counterparts from Belgium, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Ukraine on Tuesday during the annual United Nations general assembly meeting.

One of the proposals is for a tribunal similar to that established to prosecute Libyan suspects over the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am flight over Scotland.

Nations that lost some of the 298 passengers and crew in the Malaysia Airlines disaster over eastern Ukraine in July 2014 are also looking at launching separate prosecutions.

A report by the Dutch led-investigation team, set to be published on 13 October, is understood to include evidence the plane was brought down by a Russian-made Buk missile fired from separatist territory in eastern Ukraine.

The organisation, which is leading the research into what brought down the Malaysian Airways flight in July 2014, says it has reconstructed the cockpit and the business class section at the front of the aircraft. The reconstruction will be on display during the presentation of the final report into the crash on October 13. - Source: DutchNews.nl

Must be a painstaking task to reassemble the front section.

Much like TWA800...Hopefully we have an answer soon.

Tomorrow's report will not lay blame towards the party responsible for shooting down the aircraft:

MH17 report on responsibility will be next year: NRC

The investigation into who is responsible for the downing of Malaysian Airways flight MH17 last July will continue well into next year, a spokesman for the Dutch public prosecution service has told the NRC. The Dutch safety board OVV, which has been investigating the actual cause of the crash, is due to publish its report on Tuesday. That report will look at what caused the plane to crash, not at who is actually responsible, the NRC says. - Read more at DutchNews.nl

Have a look at this. You gotta hand it to them for trying vehemently to discredit the report by the Dutch Safety Board

A test done by Almaz-Antey, the manufacturer of the BUK Missile System. They detonated a BUK 9M38M1 missile with a decommissioned Il-86 cockpit at approximately the same location that the DSB determined to be the detonation position

So isnt the end result very similar if not the same?

They are not arguing about the method anymore. The Russians have accepted that the BUK indeed downed MH17. They are now disputing the trajectory of the missile, the location of the launch site and also whether it used an older or newer version of the BUK.

Apparently, the so called "old" versions are very much current equipment in Russia - some experts reported that the "obsolete" missiles were paraded in Red Square during Russia's national day celebrations the past few years. Putin was pictured with these "obsolete" missiles....

MH17 report 2015: How Malaysia hindered the investigation into the plane crash

By Charles Miranda

THE Dutch-led investigation into the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 was as stymied by Russia as it was Malaysia which “suspended” assistance and attempted to conduct its own probe to exonerate itself. According to four volumes of detailed analysis of the 2014 crash that killed 298 people on-board including 38 Australians, from the outset the Malaysian Government and Malaysia Airlines actively sought to hinder the investigation and avoid scrutiny. Indeed the Malaysians only decided to co-operate in a limited way this year but the investigation had already suffered by the delay.

... A lot, however, comes down to who “us” is here. We in the West saw the presentation of one report, while Russians saw another: Almaz-Antey, the Russian state corporation that produces the Buk systems, held a competing news conference on Tuesday in Moscow, featuring its own report. Almaz-Antey’s accounting of the incident, which included footage of an exploding missile near the nose of a decommissioned Russian plane, reached subtly different conclusions. Sure, it was a Russian-made Buk that downed the plane, Almaz-Antey’s director Yan Novikov said, but those missiles have not been in use in Russia since 2011. Moreover, Novikov said, it was fired not from Snizhne, in rebel-held territory, but from near Zaroschenskoe, which was held by the Ukrainian Army. Novikov’s conclusion? Those 298 people were killed not by Russians, but by Ukrainians. ...

That is such an ideally safe flightpath. Not flying over Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Russia and Ukraine at all.

Perfect.
