MAB to Re-Introduce the B747-400; 9M-MPP in Retro Livery

Recommended Posts

Now that is awesome!

Just to confirm that it is indeed a B744 and not MTL which is in for the retrofit... The tail is too wrapped up in plastic to differentiate between a 744 and a 333

The retro livery should jive with the retro interior.

Throw in the good ole award winning service - who would not fly MAB again, in droves? Love it love it love it

The livery - white wau with purple background?

No, thats just the stencil they used when they spray paint to protect the white bits. Still red and white at the end.

why not, JAL did go back to their "Red-crown crane" logo post bankruptcy

Yes, cut cost - no need to pay another lot of livery design fee!

Thanks for the update Sofian. Excited to see the retro livery now.

Welcome :-) can't wait for the test flight

This is too expensive to be just a standby aircraft. But with just one, kinda weird to slot it into regular scheduling.

Their initial plan is to put this B747 in a scheduled flight commencing May 2016 to replace three A380s that will undergo major maintenance. Btw its still under planning :-) Edited by M. Sofian H.
