Sharil Abdul Rahman 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2014 Apparently a 787 from Air India had some bad software failure(s), and had to divert to KUL. http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/5988118/ http://avherald.com/h?article=46f971be&opt=0 From the report - all three(???) Flight Management Computers failed. Oh wow, that sound really bad. On another note, anyone heading to KUL to capture the flight? an Air India replacement should be on its way to pick up the passengers.

Y. J. Foo 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 The Times of India article: http://m.timesofindia.com/india/Another-nightmare-for-Air-India-Dreamliner-stuck-in-Kuala-Lumpur/articleshow/29918634.cms The article sounds particularly critical of Boeing: "We are earning passenger ire for no fault of ours as Boeing seems to have hurriedly made this plane. Delays mean we put up passengers in hotels, accommodate them on other flights and end up spending huge sums, apart from earning the flyers' anger," said an official. flee 5 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 I don't think the airline can absolve itself from all blame. Afterall, it chose to buy that plane, and is also responsible for its operations and maintenance.
