WOW!

Great shots. Went spotting on Malaysia Day. Spent about 4 hours there at both the departure and the arrival areas.

Thai Airways B737-4D7 (HS-TDG) - Hoping to catch their A330s in Penang one day.

Saw quite a few ATRs of Malindo and Firefly flying past, but at that height and without great lighting, they look quite dull and blurry.

Korean Air Cargo B777-FB5 (HL8285). Was glad this was within the frame as my eyes were glued to the aircraft, and not the camera.

Then it was time to head over to arrivals to catch more planes, with UPS in mind (which eventually never showed up :( )

I also saw an ATR72 with no RH gear door back in mid-April. That was FYH.

Should be normal to them in that case, as about a year back, -FYA was also seen like that.

May i know where's the best location for taking photographs? Thanks

You could try Jalan Permatang Damar Laut of Jalan Bayan Lepas near the OryzAdv (Road Name and landmark from Google Earth) for arrivals and departures respectively.

Virgin Australia's latest Fokker 100 PH-CXF has started its delivery flight today, from Woensdrecht as SXI1422. Might be passing through Penang this Sunday as the other previous delivery flights did.

It will be registered as VH-FZH in Australia

SXI1422 is currently over the Bay of Bengal. This delivery flight made its previous stop in Hyderabad instead of the usual, Nagpur.

So, its either to Penang or Seletar this afternoon. Check FR24 in 3-4 hours time.

Thanks a lot for the information. Tried to catch its departure but wasn't quite successful. Saw on FR24 that it departed PEN sometime around 6pm just now.

It is rumoured that HMSF will depart Subang to Penang, either 4th or 5th November.

HMSF B744 V8-ALI due in today between 1800-1845.

Yes looks like it - only delivered on 3 November but this is an old aircraft - first flight was on 01-03-1999.

Good catch! :)

KAL gives me the impression of Korean Airlines. :)

The E-190 is now still parked near the ATC Tower, parallel to the runway.

Southern Cross International is ferrying another aircraft from Europe. This time is a Fokker 70, PH-KZG for Air Niugini, flight SXI1434. Rumours around saying it might drop into Penang or Seletar either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Been almost a month since the last outing. These were taken on the 2nd November. Tried some different angles to the shots.
