KUL 32L in 2014

Recommended Posts

New Year welcoming the living classic; the last DC10 pax to KUL.

Her days are numbered till end January 'tentatively'. Every Wednesday, Friday (eta 1500) and Saturday (eta 1755). Catch her while you still can before she is gone for good.

Great shot. Good that we can still see this classic for a few more weeks to come. Hope to get a trip down sometime this month, then maybe might have that chance to snap.

I wonder as to whether their sales for this sector had increased these past few months, with the addition of people flocking in to get their last chance to fly in the DC10 perhaps ?

OY-RUE (MD-83) is scheduled to arrive today. Still unsure if it is going to land in KUL or SZB from Vietnam for the FIFA world cup trophy tour in KL. It will be here in KL until the 5th.

Haven't been spotting at 32L for a few years due to the closure of the spot. Hopefully I can find some time this year to spot again.

A few photos from New Year's day.

Great shots.

Love the one of -AHG, I'm guessing another special scheme for AK.

It had been out of action for sometime so a heavy check and repaint explain it's absence.

AirAsia's Ninetology just operated into Penang yesterday. With the wavy cheatline ending below the nose, viewed head on, it somehow passed my eyes as Hong Kong Airlines' 320 at a first glance.

Those winglets on the 767 are humongous !! Almost twice the height of the cabin doors

Hello guys,

How to get to this spot? Is it accesible to the public?

It is accessible again since late last year, but you'll need to drive there.

Some really great shots, Hon Kit !!!

Should make it this spot for MW 9th Anniversary (or are the winds mainly from the South in June ?)

Thanks for sharing, Chaity - the Iraqi livery is very nice and shows how a predominantly white livery can still look great.

Saudia seems to be leasing aircraft from everywhere and using different white liveries for them - makes it interesting for plane spotters! :)

Long time no chat, all MWings members!

I always check this forum though, KUL movement is always awesome for me!

I visited KUL in May 2013, and I'll visit KUL again in May this year

So I'm looking forward to seeing you and a lot of special like Iraqi B744, Saudia 744 and Air Asia's special liveries!!!

Chaity san>

The smoky touchdown shot is so nice!

I heard KUL has a new spotting point along the perimeter :)

I hope I can go there and get a lot of shot like this

Best regards.

Hi Suzuki san, good to see you again in MWings. KUL is awaiting your visit this year.

Let's hope 32L spotting is as friendly as now when you are here.

Bring more memory cards for your camera as shots below are common. :pardon:
